Mike Hughes: new ebike and of course the supplied seat had to go so i figured i'd get one of these to go with my new seat, and it does add an inch or two of travel to absorb bumps. it does make a difference especially off road, the only issue is it has it's own lock collar plus the one on the bike itself means there are two lock levers here, and that adds height to the seat-i'm 6'00" so i'm on tippy toes when not riding, and it is adjusted as far down as it will go.

Kevin S. Newman: Installation is quick and self explanatory. Adjustment if needed is easy as well especially if you have a quick release on your seat post.

A quick reminder; if you have a quick release you may want to take the seat post with you if you’re commuting. Sticky fingers look for easy access at bike racks.

The device provides excellent shock absorption for your spine and back. This allows a very comfortable ride over alligatored asphalt pavement and rough broken concrete surfaces.

Many riders will reduce pressure in the rear tire, but this causes increased drag and rolling resistance.

JJ: This suspension seat post works better than the $100 ones that my wife and I have had on our bikes for about 20 years. My Rock Shock suspension seat post was so stiff that about a year ago I removed the elastomer and replaced it with a spring that I purchased from Ace Hardware which made it more comfortable. This Zoom one has nice movement when I adjusted it to the minimal suspension force since I weigh about 135 pounds. It weighs 17.4 oz which is 2 oz more than my modified Rock Shock suspension seat post. The quality seems good after four 15+ mile rides. It has a 2-year warranty.

Stevo Todic: Great for absorbing bumps and vibrations to save your lower back, be mindful of the inner diameter seat post insertion hole on your bike, there are a few options, I recommend using a Vernier Caliper for precise measurement.

Gary: It took me awhile to figure out what was happening. At first all I knew was that every time I moved my bike I was cutting the base of my right index finger. This was something new and I finally realized that when I changed the seatpost I did not recognize the difference in where the bolt(s) were.

My original has one bolt (same type as this seatpost) that is at the opposite end from the stem.

So, now with two bolts next to the stem; every time I lift my bike my hand is up against those two bolts and the weight of the bike along with the sharp edge of the bolts is what is cutting me. It's kind a deep cut (the size of half the circle on the top of the bolt) that takes over a week to heal.

Now I wear leather climbing gloves to move the bike and my hand is protected.

Lindsay OakesLindsay Oakes: Seems to work fine. Put it on a hardtail MTB and it does make a difference (although it's indistinguishable from that feeling when you are just about getting a rear wheel puncture). Look out for the exposed length of your current seatpost. This is NOT 400mm it's 350mm and you have to have a minimum inserted in the frame of about 75mm. I just got away with it with the minimum in the frame.
