JCJC: The only issue I had with this epoxy was that it had a strong odor. It is very thick so be prepared to stir a bit longer.

CC60CC60: I used a water base polyurethane first for my seal coat. (Minwax One Coat). Manufacture says don't put over oil base products. I still had to paint on the epoxy for the arm rail first. then 3 hours later did semi flood coat on the bar. We let it dry for 24 hours and sanded the flaws from dust or whatever was in the air. Then we cleaned with Acetone before the last coat. Using the torch worked great for the air bubbles. Epoxy coat starts to set up in 35-40 minutes to the point you cannot use a brush on it. The first coat I ran into time issues so the second coat I had help getting it done. The project turned out great. Thumbs up!!!

Tim STim S: First, Amazon only delivered one of the two bottles. Had to get a second set delivered and returned the solo bottle. I then mixed my 2 gallons of epoxy black, and let it sit for 10 minutes. When I came back it was scolding hot and was extremely thin compared to when I first poured. So at this point I figured I would read the directions lol. Directions said to not let it sit a large batch and to pour immediately. I swear it went from extremely thin to hard as a rock in 2 minutes. Was actually smoking, and put the bucket outside incase it caught fire. Reordered the product for the third time. Poured it correctly this time. Looked amazing and better then I hoped for. Cured to the touch the next day, It did scratch extremely easy after a week to cure.

MilkMan: It’s my first time pouring epoxy and this product works great.
Good: Nice clear finish, easy 1:1 mix, very good leveling, long work time
Bad: 2 day cure time, gets pretty warm, which produce bubbles in porous materials

Helene Jattan: This resin has a strong odour compared to some I have used.
It is taking longer to cure than others. I must wait 24 hours to demold as still soft.
Will go back to faster drying resin next time.

George Hendry: I have used many makes of epoxy and purchased this Pro Marine 2 Gal kit because of availability and price. The others were not available or way out of price range. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality. It is thick, very clear and great to work with. Also gives a good length of time to work with before set up. When it does start to set you better be finished because there is no time left to do any corrections. From start of set up to the time of a dryer surface (about 3 hrs) is much faster then other brands which is a good thing if working in an area with any bugs or dust. Very happy with this product and will purchase again.

🤝🤝: This product is great. Follow the directions and you won’t have a problem. I did use less than what they said and I did two coats. I did my bathroom integrated sink and it turned out beautiful. I sanded for a matte finish. It may stain more, but nothing bathroom cleaner can’t take out.
UPDATE: After a year it turned yellow. :(

Daniel Chad RyersonDaniel Chad Ryerson: So I have been wanting Epoxy the top of my bar for some time. I have been saving ticket stubs to events I have attended for over 35 years. So, the last thing I wanted to do was screw this up. I read the reviews for LOTS of different products. What I found most helpful was reading about other peoples experiences with the product. Especially people who had never done this before. Therefore, I am going to go ahead and add to the product knowledge of this epoxy.
First, I will say what many other posts said - FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. If you take short cut, you are going to pay the price. Your epoxy won't set or you will have other issues. So let's start with the mix. I did what everyone else had recommended. I affixed my ticket stubs to my bar counter tops. Now I should also mention this. I have a high counter top and a low counter top. I did a test run on my low counter top. On the lower counter top, I had taken CD jewel case covers (i had hundreds) and affixed them and did the same process. This was my test run. It did not turn out perfect. However, the imperfections were 100% MY FAULT. I read some 2 and 3 star ratings and looking back on them now, I would venture to say a lot...

David P: This epoxy floor was way easier than I imagined! The two epoxy parts mixed and poured easily. The resulting surface is beautifully clear, quite hard and durable.
Pro Tip #1: Make sure the floor and room air are warm enough (at least 60 degrees F (16° C)), otherwise the epoxy will turn cloudy. Carefully read and follow the instructions!
Pro Tip #2: Make sure there are absolutely no holes in the floor, along the edges or at pipes/plumbing, because epoxy pours as a LIQUID and it will quickly leak out through those holes. You can use strips of scrap wood to build a tiny "fence" across a doorway, to keep the epoxy in. Later, remove the fence and install a nice threshold.
Pro Tip #3: Do not spill or drip the epoxy. It is a pain to clean it up. Plan every move in advance, and avoid interruptions. Use disposable buckets, tools and tarps. Ensure good ventilation.
