Shannon K.: Got this for my front door where the old screen had torn from hail and normal wear and tear. The velcro tape wasn't too hard to install. But you have to clean surface and thoroughly dry it before attaching. Let it sit for several hours because if you try to add the screen right away it tends to detach from the frame. The screen itself unfortunately didn't want to stay attached to the velcro. It kept coming loose and getting it to stretch tight enough was a headache. My screen wouldn't stay attached to the velcro tape so I'm going to look for something else to use. Wanted to love this but ended up wasting money on it. Unfortunately I can't really recommend it but I will say use at your own risk. My experience just didn't live up to expectations.

Eclectic: My house had no window screens when I bought it, but I plan on getting new windows so didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for screens until then. I had found a couple of magnetic screen kits at a discount store. They work ok and can be easily removed, but were more labor intensive to install. These were very simple and work well. Not sure if they would hold up to being removed and put back more than once or twice, but other than window washing, not sure why you'd need to do that.

Cindy 4868Cindy 4868: Maybe others would have better luck with this but as you can see, I did not. My apartment building is being renovated with new windows and other things. They will not be giving us screens till the end of this. I hardly ever use my air conditioning to save money as I am on a (very) fixed income. I have had a lot of trouble sleeping in my bedroom in August with no ventilation. I did my best installing this but also I am on the third floor and honestly had a fear I was going to fall out the window trying to install this 😨
Hopefully this will last until they give us our screens… I hope you have better luck - it’s working in a pinch

SVRTRSVRTR: Es muy sencillo de instalar y no necesitas más que unas tijeras para cortar la tela y la cinta adhesiva a la medida necesaria.
Lo único malo es que el adhesivo de la cinta con el paso del tiempo se despega y hay que estar colocándolo de nuevo
En general, es buena opción sin grandes complicaciones

Karigan: Super easy install, works great, and you can hardly see it!
The only thing was that the adhesive did come off in parts, so I just stuck it back on. Still giving it five stars though, because I installed it to the outside of the window, and it only came off after freezing and unfreezing in a few snow storms. Now that the snow is (hopefully) over for the season, I doubt it will come back off.
100% worth the $8!

Rachel BG: I moved in to an apartment and had no screen, that was a great solution. I can open window in the evening and get a cool breeze. It was easy to install and stays put even with strong winds. You just have to clean the metal really good, let it dry, don't use anything with oils. And when you put the tape press the screen material with a little tool that is included. I was going up and down and to the sides and pressed with my fingers. I cut it little bigger and fold in in and pressed that in as well. I didn't make it very tight like real screen because I noticed it was peeling off, so I gave it a little breather.

Camille: I bought this for my college dorm window that doesn't have a mesh screen, so I really don't care about how my window looks, I just don't want bugs in. I'll start by saying that this is a slight improvement compared to what I tried last year (fibreglass mesh + duct tape). The velcro tape is not staying attached to my window very well, yet I took care to clean it with alcohol before like the instructions said. A little duct tape will solve that problem for me. Also, warning: that velcro is VERY scratchy (it holds the mesh really well!) so watch out your fingers. I started running my index finger on the velcro to get it to stick and I lost a couple layers of skin there. Use the little plastic thing in the box. As for the mesh itself, it's very fine, which is great since it makes it barely noticeable (I got the white one). Not sure how it will last over time though, since I need to remove it and put it back from time to time in order to be able to open/close my window. Overall, I think this is a good deal for the price, and it's much more convenient to ship than a big roll of fibreglass mesh. Shipping was quick and arrived in an envelope that fits in my mailbox.
