Diversitech 6-9718 1/8" x 2" x 30' Foam Insulation Tape Roll

Christian O.: I had to re-insulate a heat pump pipes after the initial installation where the technician missed a hard to see area, causing some condensation I wanted to prevent.

This foam tape is almost the same quality as the one that was originally installed. It has a closed cell design, ideal for added water resistance. I removed one start because the adhesive could be a tad stickier - it is fine but could be slightly more.

Recommended if you're looking for such foam tape.

Yukon quality: Good product but not as good as stuff I get from work, which turns out our cost is only a couple bucks more than this. When I give the adhesion three stars that's in comparison to perma wrap which is probably twice the price. But decent enough for the price.

Tony Wang: This is fantastic. This is a very high quality closed foam tape that I've used in many places to seal up cracks in doors. The foam is for the most part rigid and has minimal give. Meaning if you crush this tape in between a space that is thinner than the foam of the tape you will have quite a good sealing effect happening. With that said, the adhesive on the tape is also fantastic. Applying it to most surfaces smooth (plastic, metal, varnished wood, etc.) yields a very very strong bond (which appears to be largely waterproof) but can still come off if one chooses to remove the tape in the future. The adhesive is not good on dusty or uneven (such as non varnished wood or just very uneven wood) and will lack stickiness in those cases. Hence best practice is to often clean up the areas where you plan on applying this foam tape.

Overall this is a fantastic product. I think it's well worth the price. Definitely be aware of the size, width and length of tape necessary for your application.

Kubota1117: I used this product to repair foam insulation around some pipes but after several days it was starting to peel off. The glue stays stuck but the 1/8" foam peels away. My contractor buddy gave me similar tape and it holds with no issue... so far.

Stephanie G: I was hoping to use this to block out gaps around our window ac units and to help hold the window kit to an in room ac unit in place. Usually I use packing tape to hold the window kit in the window, but thought this would be better with some foam for insulation. Granted I don't think this is meant to be super strong adhesive, but within a day or so it completely failed and the adhesive was no longer even on the foam, I ended up covering it with packing tape after all. It will probably work on our regular in window units to seal gaps where it's not needed for strength. Hopefully it comes off the windows cleanly because we don't leave the units in year round.

Dolph: This stuff is incredible. I work in my garage nightly on random projects or for my businesses and have used this insulating tape for countless projects for one reason. IT NEVER COMES OFF. Wood. Check. Dusty stuff. Check. Paint. Check. Metal. Check. Drywall. Check. I have literally put this stuff on a recently sanded drywall bc I was lazy and the stuff still stuck to it and hasn’t moved to this day. I keep this around 24/7 now bc it is able to used for countless things. Good product.

LRD: I assume this is supposed to be used as weatherstripping for a camper shell or something similar, but I cut it down the middle, placed them an inch or so apart and used it for an insulating track bed for my O gauge model train. It worked absolutely perfect, was cheaper than the cork or foam track bed one can buy and the foam did not twist or turn when screwing down the track. The adhesive goes down perfectly when you peel off the vinyl and it is just the perfect thickness! It arrived quickly and in perfect condition!

Frostfall: Works as intended, but note that the glue on this is exceptionally sticky. That's great if you never want to remove this, but it took the paint off my door frame when I tried to remove it to reposition it. Also, note the width here. I didn't think to check how wide the tape was, and it ended up being wider than I needed -- my own fault for ignoring the dimensions of the product. I used this to line the inside of a door frame where it didn't meet flush with the door itself, in order to help soundproof my apartment. It doesn't sound proof completely, but it definitely helps.
