Keri: This is the second type of water color book I've purchased. I find it fun, relaxing and is helping me to better my water coloring skills.

Cyan M.Cyan M.: I use these books when I was just starting out water coloring, and pulled them back out recently. Now that I have a couple of years of experience with it, I can say that, although they are a lot of fun, and definitely encourage you to work with watercolors, they also have some advice that will turn into bad habits and some challenges.
Two of the big challenges are, first, the paper is very heavily textured, more like hot press than cold press. This makes sharp lines and fine details quite difficult. It’s also prone to bleeding, which can make boundaries between colors hard to keep crisp. Second, the usual advice for watercolors is to start by painting light colors, and then move on to dark. This makes it a lot easier to control where your dark colors end up. The instructions for a lot of the images ignore this advice, and it does make it harder.
As other reviewers have noted, the colors for the sample images often don’t match the instructions, so if you want to make it, look like the pictures you off and have to be a little bit creative with your pallete. The sample images were, I think, painted larger and reduced for reproduction, which is fine, but getting the...

Alessandra: Gostei do livro, mas é uma edição com poucas imagens.

V: This one is smaller than the other two but to be honest I thought the price point made more sense for this one! All of the books are great value. With all of the books I recommend follow allowing paint to dry between each step. If you don’t allow it to fully dry, that’s when you’ll run into issues with the paint bleeding through the page. Really lovely, I hope they release more books in the series

Kris99Kris99: As a beginner sometimes part of the struggle is figuring out what to paint. This book removes that obstacle. Everything is laid out for you, the sketch is ready to go, colors are selected and the instructions are simple and easy to follow. As others have mentioned, the paper quality isn’t the best, it does pill a bit and doesn’t layer the best, but it’s perfectly fine for practice and learning as you go. Even with the papers shortcomings, I’m quite happy with how my paintings turned out. I plan to transfer a few designs I really love onto 100% cotton paper. I would highly recommend this book for beginners as well as more advanced beginners as a way to relax and unwind. I feel the 25 projects included are a great value, it breaks down to about 70 cents a project.

li l.: Very sweet book. I think her first boom "in the forest" is the best. But I had all her books. Same paper as the first and second books. I wish Dana give more help in how to create that depth/3D effect. The drawing needs more instruction on how to get the wow effect.

Kim YeohKim Yeoh: I have all three books of the Watercolor with Me series and I don’t regret buying this one at all. I understand that some purchasers are disappointed that this version has 25 projects instead of the 50 in the other two books, but they seem to have overlooked the fact that the projects in this one are more complex and will take longer. In my second attached photo I’ve shown a comparison of the Iguana project from this book to Sailboat from “Watercolor with Me: In the Ocean”. See what I mean? The projects are challenging but still doable for beginner watercolorists. And above all, it’s a beautiful book to have.

Also Achtung. Im Buch selbst kann man nicht gut malen. Trotzdem empfehle ich das Buch Fans von den ersten zwei Büchern.

Amazon Customer: This book is stunning. My girls absolutely love using this. The pages are nice and thick. They don't get "crinkly" after adding water which is nice. I recommend the entire series!
