Amazon Customer: Great condition just as pictured works perfectly kiddo loves it. I would say this is more for a 5-year-old child that can understand to follow the symbols on the pages to press the appropriate buttons.

A C: Calling all parents....this thing can do your job for you! My 4 year old LOVES to be read books....and I love reading them to her, mostly (ha)....no but seriously, when she wants to use me on repeat and I have other things to do, this 'me reader' is a life saver. Comes with multiple hardback books that are linked to the handheld voice reader device. Your child can "read" the book themselves by pressing the buttons that correspond with the title and pages in which they are turned to. The device reads the story to him/her page by page and even "dings" when its time to turn the page. It's really a genius invention and she has been loving her alone time and "reading" all by herself.

LadybugLadybug: This is a great idea for young children to listen and learn to read. It's easy for little ones to learn how to use it. Just match the picture on the selected book to the corresponding picture on the electronic reader and that's it. The electronic reader voice speaks clearly and understandable. The words are printed on the page, making it easy to follow along. This was the perfect book for my five-year-old princess granddaughter.

Lois: Perfect present! Has kept my daughter and niece entertained for hours! They love the interaction of being able to press the buttons and the book is read to them. Have bought a few more to give to friends for birthday. Highly recommend. My child and niece are both 4 years old.

yvonne andrewartha: My daughter is not interested but think she will use more wen older she is 4 but you have to press the buttons as u tell the story she just presses any button so story isn't told in the order it is in the book.

Meredith A. Short: This is an amazing value! My 2yo loves books and princesses, and I am trying to work on her independence (and find screen free activities). She was able to figure out the reader on her own, and can easily follow along. Of course, she would rather I do it with her but we're working on it.

The pages are very thin paper, but that's ok considering the price for 8 books. Just might want to keep an eye on little hands. The art work doesn't look cheap, and despite the delicate pages the books are good quality. The reader is cool, sound quality is meh but again, under $20. I wish the box didn't have display holes so it would be a better storage case, but even the cardboard is pretty good so I can make it work.

I will definitely be gifting this and buying more for my girl because you cannot beat the value of this!
