Mike B.: I needed a remote to advance PowerPoint slides for work. I wanted something that was light weight, small, and easy to use. I didn't need something with lots of extra features either. This does exactly what I need it to. After the first time set up, this has easily worked quickly in every computer I have used it in, both desktop and laptop. It is really light and easy to use. It does have a laser pointer which is nice, but doesn't have other features like screen darkening -- but I didn't want that. I just wanted a clicker to go forward and backward and this does the trick very well. The piece that goes in the USB port on the computer is really small, and it fits in the remote on the bottom and stays in place with a little magnet. Just don't forgot to take it out of the computer when you are done! :-) This does what I wanted to very well. I'm happy with it and I would purchase it again, especially for the low price I paid for it.

Marty: I put in a battery.
I put the USB dongle into my USB port.
It installed it without any prompts, no special drivers, no downloading or going to a weird website.
I loaded a powerpoint.
It cycled through the powerpoint as it was designed.
The red laser pointer is bright enough and handles from across the room.
For $11, this is great.
The only reason it's not 5 stars, is because it feels like a $11 plastic dongle, it's kind of cheap feeling. But it's $11 cheap and works. So, this is not worth fussing over.

MikeMike: The media could not be loaded. This simple wireless presenter tool or "clicker" is far better than one would ever expect for its cost. We purchased two of these for use in a 6,000 square foot auditorium and had low expectations. Guest speakers have brought along much more expensive remotes and presenters, and found that they could not stray more than 20 or 30 feet from their laptop. We were able to advance our slides from ~90 feet (middle of our stage) with the remote *behind our podium*, pointed at a laptop that was across the room and was *itself hidden behind the corrugated aluminum wall of our Front Desk.* I am blown away by the range of this device, especially given its low power needs (one AAA battery) and price tag.
In addition to the impressive range, this device was very well-packaged in a slick double box with cut foam insert. We will not be using the provided carrying sleeve because the original box is just so classy. The USB receiver for the remote is hidden in the bottom of the unit, held in place with a small but powerful magnet. My students all wanted to try pulling the connector out and letting it magnetically slide back into place because the action...

Tim Johnstone: I am a graduate student who purchased this for giving slide presentations, and so far it has worked perfectly! Given the low price compared to other similar presenters, I was very pleasantly surprised that it worked so well. The range is perfectly fine for any standard presentation, I've used it on a stage 20-25 feet from the computer and it worked without any glitches. The laser is decently bright and worked fine on both TV and dropdown screens. The buttons give good haptic feedback and it is easy to tell which one you are pressing without looking down.
One small gripe that I have (though not enough to take off a star) is the heft/weight of the presenter, it is much lighter than other presenters I've used, which makes it feel a little flimsy and more like I'm going to drop it at any given time during the presentation. On the other hand, I've noticed less wobble when using the laser pointer, which might come from the fact that I'm not holding a big heavy device.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the USB dongle is hidden within the presenter, it can be a little fiddly to get out but overall I really like that design - it makes the presenter easy to transport and the...

Amazon Customer: Excellent product - not a cheap toy. I am a post-graduate level instructor, as part of a mobile training team - have used these PPT presenter devices for many years. This one is WAY less expensive than the ones I have had in the past - no problems with range (occasionally I am in a large auditorium - in which I move around), the laser is strong and easy to see, the additional on/off switch is brilliant, and it's small and portable. All of us have been disappointed by Chinese rubbish occasionally (which I was kind of expecting based on the price) but this is a professional-grade tool. Many more expensive models have hard buttons for left-right commands - this can be reprogrammed quickly for that. Also has commands for "black screen" from presentation/full screen mode and to switch the slide deck from standard/build mode to presentation/full screen mode. Has a separate low-profile slide switch (well thought out) for on/off - so I no longer have to pull the batteries during travel. Small form factor (not much room in my travel case), USB dongle stores, via magnet, in the tail of the device. Tested/used in a variety of WIN 7/WIN 10 laptops - no problems with drivers/USB dongle...
