Geoffrey: Thing I like about the unit, it uses AA batteries. It's grip feels so comfortable in the hands. Things that would be better, it took a long moment to get use with the menu, had to figure out how to change the unit of measurement from C to F bec the manual was too small to read.

EmmyJay: Put in 2 new batteries 2 times. It states to press the test button to activate the display but there was no such button. It's location did not appear in the product diagram. Generated a return and asked for a replacement item to be sent and it arrived the next day. This one did not work either and I am not interested in a third try in hopes that it would work. From the Amazon web site under the description "Lifetime Guarantee", I found a support address and I emailed the company and got no response. The phone number listed in the manual was a number in China. I also noticed that 2 days after mine was ordered, the price went up $7. Don't waste your time and money on this one!
