Michelle: What a great book, very informative and after 2 weeks of following the low fodmap, I noticed a big difference in how i feel and now when i do eat something that doesn’t agree with me, I notice the bloat almost instant, unreal. Oh and my stools are much better as well! Yeah

Melanie: This book is extremely informative and easy to read, as a result I read the whole book within a few hours of receiving it. It is clear in information and format, I will definitely be keeping hold of it in case I need to refer to it in the future. In the meantime I am looking forward to putting some of the advice given into practice.
If you have tummy troubles I highly recommend you invest in this book.

Angelica: The book has an initial test to assess which might cause your bloating. It actually works. I went to get tested and I have what the book predicted. It gives you actual useful information, definitely recommended. I have read at least 20 books on the same topic (yes for real) and this one had information that I haven't read anywhere else (ex. About abdomino-phrenic dissinergy)

Louis Parmalee: Ok book not the greatest. Dr Braly’s food allergy and nutritional revaluation is the best book ever written on gut health.

Sarah Edwards: This book gave words to what I've been trying to tell my MDs. This issue is a complex one I have struggled with for a long time, but the author explains the myriad of issues very clearly and made them simple to understand. I learned so much about all the things that can be causing my painful bloated belly. If your responses to the quiz show that you have a specific condition, this book will nail it and tell you all your options for diagnosis and treatment ,including what foods and supplements could help, as well as recipes. It's a Goldmine. In my case there was no clear condition. I scored high for many conditions. I read them all and now understand why my MD is doing particular procedures. My frustration with the quiz was that in many cases it says to choose one. For me there was no one. Often there were even many options. I tried scoring it various ways and got different answers but still no definite condition and the advice for one can be the opposite for others. I have no doubt that if the author were my dietician, she working with her gastroenterologist could resolve my situation. But I live in CA and neither my dietician or my GI MD seem to have this knowledge. Thanks to...

Suzie: This book isn't about selling products or supplements. It's actually about helping the public feel better and end life-long searches for solutions to their symptoms.
I never write reviews, but felt strongly about this one because it truly changed my life and I want to recommend it to the world !! I get most of my books from the library but I purchased a copy after getting a rec. from a friend, and am so glad I did. Over 6 months later I keep referencing the smart and straight-forward writing, and have been physically helped by the answers in this book. t's a STEAL OF DEAL, and hard to believe that all this info is even available in a book when people pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars to hear (if they're lucky) 1 or 2 pearls of wisdom conveyed in the chapters.
I've suffered from digestive issues from most of my life, which ultimately propelled me to go back to school for nutrition to help others with their digestive issues as well. I have to say that despite my lengthy grad school training and being treated by some top GI doctors in NYC, I learned so many new pieces of knowledge based on the author's research and years and years of experience. Her guidance not only...

Susan: Though this book is not a cure for IBS, it's added a great deal of info to my arsenal of knowledge about the symptoms. It contains two extremely helpful sections (plus plenty of other good info). My favorites: 1) Chapters on types of bloating, broken into upper abdominal bloating that originates in the stomach (an example: "The Distressed but Not Distended Bloat: Functional Dyspepsia") and lower abdominal bloating that originates in the intestines (an example: "The Bacterial Bloat: Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth {SIBO}"). And my other favorites thing about this book, as there is SO much conflicting info online about IBS treatments: 2) "A Field Guide to Digestive Support Supplements," that covers things like berberine, probiotics, fennel, ginger, Iberogast, fiber supplements, and many more. For each entry, she discusses what the substance is, what marketers claim it does, what it actually does, safety and tolerance concerns, dosing, and her own bottom line--whether it's worth a try, skip it, or avoid it.
