Boston Mom: I love these things for countersinking. I was building drawers for a pantry. I wanted to countersink the screws so that I could set them and cover them with wood filler so they aren't visible.
The points on the bits allow you to drive them exactly where you want (on pine, for sure, harder wood might be different but I did okay on maple and oak). Stick that needle point in the spot you want the pilot hole and it doesn't walk at all. Just bites down and drills it out.
I don't know how they'll last, and if you break that tapered bit I don't think you'll be able to replace them.
But I really like how they work.

Jake: my go to..jusy a knucklehead and knocked my drill over day 1 and broke my #10 and cant justify 17$ for a replacement bit atm...but they ar3 the best countersinks ive ever uswd by far.buy junk get junk..but if you buy dewalt you get dewalt...really liking my yellow tools

Eric Armstrong: I LOVE these things. They work great--so much so that I wanted to get several more of a particular size, to "Set and forget" for the screws I use most often.
And the fact that they are a two-piece COUNTERSINK PLUS BIT saved me, when one of the smaller bits broke. (My fault, but I just put in a replacement bit and kept going.)
On their own, the set gets 5 stars. The trouble starts when looking to replace or add individual items in the set.
BUT: When the description says replacement BITS are available, it means just that--the BITS. The DeWalt folks just responded to my question, saying that there are individual part numbers for the ITEMS in this set.
I've now returned teeny things from Bosch and DeWalt that LOOKED like replacement units, but they weren't. And they were too small in any case. I did, however, find something at last that looks like an exact replica, from MAKITA. So to extras of a specific size, do a search like "Makita #8 countersink bit".

Craig Bryan: ....the bit wobbles horribly when you try to use it in a drill. Luckily the countersink sleeve can be removed and used on another bit.

Linda: Love!!!... these drill bits. For a beginner I decided to see what these drill bits we all about cause when I started watching videos on guys who predrilled with this type of drill bits on wood, I saw what they were using so I wanted to try them out and wow was it so much better. You can also change the length of the drill depending how long you want to drill. Great product!

Sleighs: I like these bits. Nice to use and really help fore making neat pilot holes and hiding screw heads. The length of the pilot bit is adjustable, but I wish there was a depth stop you could set for the countersink part of the bit because its easy to drill your countersink deeper than intended with these bits. They seem to hold up okay, but replacement pilot bits are quite pricey.
