Jay from Canada: This is a great work light for anyone who has invested into the Dewalt 20V battery system. There are multiple lights available, each with its own purpose. I also own a DCL073, which is more of a focused and very bright spotlight with a narrow beam, while this one casts a more even light over a much wider field of view. Therefore this one is the one I reach for more often when doing work around the house.

The light can ratchet to different angles; if I had any complaint, it's that it is a tiny bit too loose for my taste - only because of how I sometimes use it like a flashlight, holding it in my hands as I walk and wave it around. In this use case, if you shake the light vigorously, you'll find the head starts to click around and swivel. I wish the ratcheting was a little stiffer or maybe could have had a locking knob to hold it at a certain angle. Also, at certain angles, it's not the most stable and can fall over.

But that's such a small quibble. This is a bright, compact light that has a ton of uses, from working on your car or under a kitchen cabinet or in a dimly lit basement, say, or for power outages, or for camping. A must-have if you have Dewalt batteries.

AFHart: The light is very bright on high and has a good second level brightness. The hook on top is handy to hang the light but you cannot get it to point downward due to the weight of the battery. Overall it is a very nice light that is convenient to use the same batteries as all your other tools. The one thing that would really make this light awesome is to make the light rotate to the sides. This would allow you to really position the light perfectly in every setting. If you are a 20V DeWalt tool person, this light is a great fit for your garage.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I have a lot of Dewalt lights, and each has their special purpose, but if I had to choose only one, the 20V Max Work Light would be it. I have the smaller ones in my tool bags, and leave the Work Light out as I use it so often The light is bright, with no "hot spots", and if you're searching for something on the floor or in any difficult space like a crowded cabinet, this is one terrific aid. It's tall, and as others have said, the movable head is almost too easy to move. The ability to adjust the tension would be a good improvement. But that's picking nits, as the light overall has been in my hand almost every day since I bought it in June of 2022. I think you'll be delighted with it.
