James Johnsen: My outdoor plant does not always get direct sunlight so this product is extremely useful to rotate or move my plant to even out exposure to sunlight. Made sturdy and easy to use. Measure the diameter of the pot you want to use it with just to be sure you are getting the correct size.

the top has a circular 1/2 inch deep by 4.25 wide indent in the middle, it is NOT a hole

TheHotMateo: If you do the research, you'll notice that most dollies are rectangle or square. This is because they are meant to move items that are both heavy and have a rectangular shape. Plant dollies, on the other hand, are round, and therefore are great for moving any objects that are heavy and ROUND (other than what they are meant for, which is plant pots). While other round dollies DO exist, I wanted something cheap, small, and ROUND.

I bought this item so that I could maneuver a heavy mic boom stand back and forth without having to pick it up constantly. Because of this dolly's shape, it fit perfectly under the round base of the mic stand which was better for balance. In addition, because it's round, your more unlikely to trip if using around a house or studio setting.

Overall, I highly recommend this dolly. Its cheap, well made, and rolls around smooth as butter. I couldn't have asked for a better solution to my problem. I would suspect this is also good for moving around lighting fixtures, small round furniture, or anything with a round base that is small enough to fit on the dolly. DyanneDyanne: These are great - already purchased a bigger one for my fan - this ones for my Dyson Doc - I can now move my fan and Dyson easily and without compromising my fan and Dyson. Update, have just ordered 4th dolly - I use the 24” for two of my Rowenta Turbo Silence fans, and the 12” for my Dyson V10 with caddy, second 12” for my Rowenta small (described as ‘bedroom’) pure air makes moving them around easy on me and the machines

E. A. Jacques: I use this dolly for holding a five gallon bucket with a vacuum head that I use to suck the water out of my plant saucers in my grow room. Prior to having this dolly I was dragging the bucket around as I was moving from plant to plant. This dolly make the job a lot easier - other than the cord from the vacuum getting under the wheels, but that is not an issue with the dolly. In the end this has been a back saver and makes the task of keeping the run-off water under control a lot easier.

I don't use it as a plant dolly, but it suspect it would work great for that purpose. Maybe even a little overkill. It's very well made and can probably handle a lot of weight and still roll easily. If you have a big plant you want to be able to move around and the pot will fit the diameter of the dolly, this thing will work very well and I can highly recommend it for that purpose. If you need to move around buckets of water, it will work well in that application too. Very good value for the money.

bayoaks: We just built a brand new deck (replaced one that was 25 years old) and needed something to put under the heavy pots so we can move them around easily and to protect the deck from the watering. We also bought several 16 inch dollies which we've already reviewed. Please note that on the 12-inch, I gave them four stars instead of five because the 12" didn't have the drain holes like the 16" did so we had to drill holes in each one. When we ordered, we assumed both sizes were exactly alike and nothing was mentioned (that we saw) about no drain holes in the smaller ones. However, drilling took little time. Since we live at the coast, before putting them down, we greased the rollers heavily to ensure the salt air didn't cause problems. Imagine someone living inland could get by w/o doing this but extra prevention is always a good thing. When/if we get more plants, we'll buy more of these dollies. On another note, we noticed there were several complaints about the shipping cost; first, these dollies ARE heavy and well made so obviously shipping isn't gonna be cheap. Since we needed several (think we got six 16" the first time and six 12" two weeks later), shipping was free. All in all,...
