Jeannie Cochran: Well written. I understood all of Demi’s emotional battles. As women, we tend to give up our needs to be perfect for others around us.

Claudette Rochon-Kennedy: I haven’t read it yet. I am sure it is good. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought it. It is my next book after I finish reading “Unsinkable: The Secret of Bouncing Back.”

FloridaDino: I originally started reading this as I’m a big fan of Demi Moore’s Eighties films, so hoped there’d be some behind the scenes goodies, especially on St Elmo’s Fire. As it turned out, the book disappointed on the film side, giving very little insight at all.
Where the book did grab me, however, was on her childhood. Demi Moore’s childhood was absolutely terrible, she had to endure things that no child should ever see.
You can see from the confessional nature of the book how much it has impacted the rest of her life.
I found the part of the book that dealt with her later life not quite as interesting, but it’s an interesting read overall, as much for peeling back the layers of celebrity as anything else.

Lindsey Prewitt: I loved this book! Thank you Demi Moore for sharing your personal life! I wish there was more to read, hated the book to end! Would love to know so much more about your daily life now, your beautiful family & your Pilaf and others dogs! If you are a Demi Moore fan, I highly recommend this book!!

Monica K. Thompson: Demi's book is very well put together and a good read. She had an unfortunate childhood and it was sad to read about her experiences growing up. She seems to be in a good place emotionally and I'm happy for her.

Bridget: I really have to disagree with the one star reviews that bashed the book and got a lot of helpful votes. Don’t listen to those crazies. I read a lot of memoirs and this one holds up with the better ones. I found her to be very honest which is all anyone could really ask for if they want to read about someone’s life. Even if being honest means she has to say negative or embarrassing things about herself and that’s a very brave thing for someone to do. As for someone saying she is getting her “revenge” out on people, calling them out on stuff…um no. I feel she was much nicer than she could have or should have been to everyone.
As for Ashton and someone worrying about what his kids will read about him some day? Get a life. They’d find out about his past even without this book. It’s already out there and he brought it on himself. Like I said, she was still very kind. I’m sure he’s not a saint now either. As for her parents - whoa. They were both obvious sociopath/ narcissists. I mean, come on. You can’t even cover that up with whatever minor good quality that might come out in either of them at one moment in time. I still don’t think she quite gets that...

Richard Latham: Here is a bio memoire, told in her own words, by actress Demi Moore.
Although it covers her life, it is written more to present herself rather than the image movies and the media have recorded and shown. It makes little effort to dwell upon her film roles or justify her success and glamour. Rather it is a deeply personal account, a response to the lowest point of her life when she needed help or faced passing away or taking her own life through substance misuse and or with intent.
I feel the experience of writing about herself gave her the chance to spend time and discover who she is and what she is a product of growing up and finding fame in Hollywood.
In this sense the book is as much for Demi, a catharsis in getting her truth out as well as the usual money generating self publicising biographies.
It is a project that reveals a great deal and perhaps in exposing herself rather than conforming or playing a role provides not just insight but hope for others who have shared experiences in their lives.
As a fan of her movies she is an accomplished actress, a sex symbol and a powerful woman in my prior thinking. Having read this book, I see the glitz for what...

Kindle Customer: This book feels like a long therapy session. Its a good thing and very interesting, it is also something a lot of people can identify with. I like that there wasn't this big hang up about all the celebrity stories. Demi Moore exposes her full journey and I appreciate the conclusions she made. For anyone expecting to read about the "juice stuff", don't bother.. the piece about A. Kutcher and the topic of the threesome was described in two sentences and was directly related to her insecurities. I finished the book in 8 hours (without skipping sections) and the only reason i don't rate this a 5 is that I feel there is something missing as she talked about her daughters and their decision to not talk to her for three years. Everything else is analysed and you get to understand why (from her perspective of course) people did what they did towards her and her understanding of it, but we don't get that as her daughters (at least I didn't get it) and Bruce Willis decided to ignore her for the years she was in therapy. It feels like its missing about two chapters and I was a bit disappointed as she had not spared in any of the other descriptions.

Renea Morgan: This is page turner! Transparent and relatable on so many levels. I was often saying in many parts of the book, if it can happen to her then it’s not just me….this is a keeper.
