JR: The idea is great, but the quality was disappointing. As a teacher, I’ve printed my own cards with the story to attach them to peppermints and tried these this year for simplicity. Unfortunately, as many reviewers have noted a good deal of them arrive broken, so those can’t really be given as kids gifts or work for the whole point of the “J” shape. They are VERY tiny, like 1/2 the size of a normal small candy cane. Then, the flavor wasn’t so great. (My own kids tried a couple of the broken ones and spit them out. They normally enjoy candy canes.) ImI’ll be going back to printing my own story cards with regular candy canes from the dollar store.

MBrownMBrown: I purchased these for my class and I was really disappointed to find 11 or so of the candy canes were broken. It takes away from the lesson of how it is shaped like a Shepard’s staff and the letter J when the candy is broken up. :(

R.: Almost half of the candy canes were broken, but they refunded me for the half of the order. Other than that- they came quickly and are as expected.
