Amazon Customer: I’ve been working with my daughter, cooking our way through the American Girl cookbooks. There are so many dessert books, I was glad for this savory book (as well as Around the World and Garden to Table.) Of course my daughter loves the desserts but this book got her excited about trying new things. I would love it they followed up with a “comfort food” book; soups, stews, gratins, pasta bakes, etcetera, to expand on the savory side a bit more.

Nannie D.: This was gift to a young girl - she used this cookbook with me to make meals for her grandfather. It was easy for her to follow and the recipes were well thought out. American Girl made a very good cookbook for young cooks to work with.

Amazon Customer: I bought this recipe book for my niece on the recommendation of her parents as a Christmas gift 3 YEARS AGO and she still uses it even though she has outgrown her American Girl doll phase. She and has favorite, go-to recipes and the recipes do truly satisfy even adult appetites and tastes. These are classic recipes that your child can enjoy now and into her/his future. Highly recommend for your little chef.
