ken: Since I haven't had these long, I really can't comment about battery life or longevity.
Love the charger. It charges 1-4 batteries at a time. Each battery charges independently so AAA and AA batteries can me charged together. The charging display lets you easily determine where each battery is in it's charging cycle.
Overall, I think this purchase is a pretty darned good value!
