This powerful pump is designed to quickly and efficiently remove water from swimming pools, ponds, gardens, basements, and more. It features a high-efficiency motor and is easy to set up and use. Plus, its build quality and suction power make it one of the best Utility Pumps on the market.Mola: This pump is highly recommended as it really gets the job done. Recent rain in Nevada had caused water to accumulate (about 16-20 inches deep) in a low spot. The water was not clean as it contained many leaves and some accumulated dirt. I attached a garden hose to the pump oulet, lowered the pump in the area to be cleared using a rope attached to the pump handle and powered it. It did the job without any problem, did not get clogged with leaves and pumped water out down to the last 1/4 inch. Great tool! I recommend using a garden hose with a plastic connection to avoid stripping the connection to the pump (also made of pastic)

tripletaketripletake: Damaged product received. The black sheathing on the electrical cord is broken where it attaches into the pump. Will be returning it unfortunately.

Tom FirbyTom Firby: This 1 hp pump works great. I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm so glad I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews that mentioned that a garden hose wouldn't fit properly . My 75' hose screwed right on with no leaks. This pump is powerful. The volume of water being pumped out of my pool was more than when my hose is attached to my home's hose bib. Why rent a pump for $30 plus a day when this brand new pump is only $60. This pump will turn itself off if you just let the float hang loosely to the side. This is how I initially used it so I didn't have to constantly monitor the water level. When the water level was about 4 inches, the pump shut off. Then I repositioned the float and set it in the attachment to face upward and then it continued to pump more water. The photo I submitted shows the float in that position. Just make sure you monitor the water level and unplug the pump when it stops pumping any more water. If you don't unplug it at this point you will burn out the motor. I would highly recommend this pump to any homeowner. Happy pumping !!

Shea: Product Purpose:
I originally needed a submersible water pump after realizing that one corner of the backyard was becoming significantly flooded due to the recent California rains. I did some research and came across this product and gave it a chance.
Receiving and Installing:
The pump came in 2 days, just in time for the next big rain and it worked just like I needed it to. I hooked it up to a 25 foot water hose that led down the side of the house. The pump turns on as soon as you plug it in and immediately it began pushing water extremely quickly out to the driveway and into the street gutter.
Tips:
Some things to keep in mind when using; it works very quickly so you must keep a close eye on it and not leave it unattended because pumps like this are prone to burning out when it is not submerged enough (to the required line on the red part of the product) or when the water runs out (don’t let it suck in air), this happened the first time I used it because the water buildup was ankle deep all around the corner of the yard about 30 ft wide and yet it pushed out the water in about 15-20 minutes max. The water pump shut off on its own once it had nothing to...

lgonza: This is the second pump of this brand.
The first one 1/2 hp rating, and it stopped working about 30 days.
It kept on tripping the GFCI outlet. So I returned it and I figured maybe it was just a that one is bad.
I purchase a second one, because the price is very reasonable, same brand. 1 hp rating and I would think because of the power it may have higher quality.
Worked fine for about 2 weeks.
But now does the same thing, tripping the electrical GFCI after a few minutes.
The pump motor is working, but it must be tripping it on its own? Perhaps the water protection isn't so great, and it gets short circuit when it's in the water. I'm not sure.
Considering this is supposed to be a submersible pump, it leads to the quality of the build I think.
Returning this one too.

G.P: The unit works fine but it does not pump out as fast as a 1/3 HP should and does not have a low water cut off ,but i should have checked the description better for that. but compared to other 1/3 HP pumps i have had this one takes about 45 min to 50 mins to pump 225 gallons of water from my truck into my cistern about 20 ft away and at a lower angle ,where my old pumps would take about 25 to 30 min tops
