Amazon Customer: First, I love this clock. The sunrise feature does not disappoint.
They put buttons on the bottom though which I find to be a weird placement. It took me a min to figure out how to snooze. It’s a gentle tap at the top. However, you also turn it off by starting a tap but leaving your hand there to apply pressure on the top. The directions aren’t super clear about that.

The charging feature is great.

The only real downfall of the clock is the instructions. 4 out of 5.

Kasnisska: I really love this! The lighting is super pretty and it charged my phone wirelessly even with a case on it. The scenes you can set up with different sounds are so relaxing and put me to sleep almost instantly. I’ve only used the Bluetooth function to play music once but it was really good quality.

Only issue was the wireless charging stopped working and just has a blinking icon that won’t go away. I reached out to the seller and they are sending me a new one with zero hassle!!! I was so impressed!!

Jason J. Campbell: I'll start with the fact the seller/mfg has been very responsive in communication since I reported issues. They have even sent a replacement unit as well. However this device needs a firmware update to solve some issues. I've documented them clearly and conducted tests, but they are still unresolved. Hope others may not have the issues and will definitely depend on your alarm configuration.

For me, I just care about the wakeup light. As others have reported, you should know when it kicks on, it is full blast. This does not ramp up from 0->setpoint over the wakeup time. So for my alarm, I have a weekday alarm (alarm 1) set to 6am with 30 minute sunrise, no sound. At 5:30, lights on. Not gradual, full on. I can live with that, but you should know this if looking at these kinds of devices.

That said, the alarm 1 is 6am, lights up at 5:30, no sound, on weekdays. Alarm 2, same, but 1 hour later. What I get is a great unit for one day. It all goes as set. But even though alarm 1 is still enabled, the next day, I get nothing. If I do not turn alarm 1 off, then back on, it will not trigger.

The mfg has been really good at trying to look at the unit and troubleshoot...

sahil: I recently purchased the Dekala Sunrise Alarm Clock and have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, the sunrise/sunset simulation is a nice feature that helps me wake up and wind down at night. The FM radio and 7 natural sounds are also a great addition that provides some variety for alarm options.

However, the clock is not as user-friendly as I would have liked. The instruction manual was difficult to understand, and the app remote control was not as intuitive as I had hoped. It took me a while to figure out how to set the alarms and customize the settings to my preferences.

Additionally, the clock stand is not very sturdy and wobbles easily, which makes me worry about the durability of the product over time. As a heavy sleeper, I also found that the alarm wasn't loud enough for my needs and would have preferred a more aggressive wake-up sound.

Amazonia: This is a beautiful way to start the day. I get up ridiculously early in the morning and find it offensive to wake up to a blaring alarm. With the wake up light I find it is a much more pleasant and happy way to wake up. The present sounds on this device are pretty standard for clocks/lights of this type and easy on the ears - I rarely use them though because I usually wake up 3 minutes for the alarm sounds, because of the light.

Connecting this device to the Smartlife app took less than a minute and less than 5 clicks in the app. It was very convenient and the app recognized the clock before I even had to search for it in the list of devices.

I'm not wild about the way the legs 'snap' in to the base. They feel a little bit flimsy and one of the rubber stoppers fell out of one of the legs and wouldn't stick back in. Thankfully this clock came with two extra legs so I tapped in to that resource. Also I find the buttons on the clock to be too tiny for the icons to be visible. The workaround for this is to use the app for setup. Neither of these issues is a show stopper for me, but worth mentioning.

SherMan: The Dekala Sunrise alarm clock clock is a marvel of technology. It can lull you to sleep or wake you up with sound, light and radio, and has a USB A charging port. Remote control of the clock is possible with a smartphone app, either Smart Life or Tuya Smart. Once the app is installed, you can use Alexa for voice commands. The clock still requires a lot of work with the firmware to be a user friendly clock.

Manual setup of the clock is with the 13 small buttons at the top rim. Manual setting was frustrating because the buttons were marked with tiny barely distinguishable icons. The printed icons in the user manual were also tiny indistinct icons. Adding to this the icon that appeared on the clock face was also tiny and indistinct. Manually setting the time on a common electronic clock is so easy; on the Dekala it took a while.

Compared to the manual setup, controlling the clock with a Smart Life or Tuya Smart app on your smartphone is a cinch, after you have downloaded and installed the app, then paired the Dekala with it. All the settings are much easier with app. No need to set the time, as the Dekala simply adopts the network time.
