Decor Star 10" Brushed Nickel Kitchen Sink Faucet Hole Cover Deck Plate Escutcheon (PLATE-10B)

Average Jo: Very nice escutcheon, received in perfect condition, and it has a gasket that goes under it so I didn't need to use any silicon or caulking--at least, I didn't use any, and so far no leaks and I've been using it (and the new faucet I splurged on) for a couple of months now. And it being my kitchen faucet, and me being obsessive about cleaning things, that faucet gets used about 50x/day! Can't say the escutcheon is a perfect match for my stainless steel sink, but it is very, very close. And, I'm pretty sure my sink is a low-end "builder's grade at the local big box store" item (when I can afford to replace my blah formica counters, the sink is getting replaced, too!) and suspiciously shiny (compared to some of my stainless steel small kitchen appliances), so perhaps someone who owns a nice, high-grade stainless steel sink would find it to be a perfect match.

Regardless, it looks fine and has served its purpose marvelously, was amazingly cost-effective, so if you need one I will recommend this one!

kjvp: I bought this deck plate because our Costco Kitchen faucet has a tapering deck plate (both thickness wise as width wise) with a soap dispenser (which nobody ever uses). Our enameled white sink is generally good, but has some rust around the soap dispenser hole. So, as part of a sink 'renovation', with a new disposal, new hoses, new sink grout and fixed sink, I wanted a new, wider deck plate that sealed the holes off, and would not let any water creep underneath it. After fixing the rust (I used Sheffield Porcelain Filler&Repair and Sheffield porcelain Touch Up for the sink with very good results) I wanted a plate that would cover most of the repairs so I'd never have to deal with that problem again.
I must say, this desk plate really is awesome. The middle of the plate stands proud when you lay it down, but when you tighten it down, it is absolutely flat. As some have mentioned, it comes with a 1/4" thick rubber gasket/frame underneath.for support. That is definitely a lot better than the usual hard plastic frame that many deck plates come with. There may be deck plates of thicker metal out there, but this one is definitely NOT flimsy. I used 100% white...

Wilder K. Raven: When I got a fancy and expensive Delta faucet, I was surprised (and annoyed) to find that the faucet didn't come with the escutcheon plate needed to mount it properly. I was more annoyed to find that Delta's price for the official part was more than the price of many mid-level faucets by themselves! Luckily, a kind stranger on the Internet directed me to this plate from Decor Star for a much more reasonable price, and I was pleased to find that it fit perfectly. Now my faucet is mounted and I'm far less broke than I would be if I'd purchased the Delta official part. Thank you, Decor Star!

As to the plate's quality, it's very good. It should last a long time, and serve as an excellent base to my pricey faucet.

KSuther: This is what is technically called a "sink escutcheon", although nobody at any of our variety of local hardware stores seems to know that - In fact, none of them even carry something like this, so we were quite happy to be able to find this here on Amazon.

We have a stainless steel sink with 3 holes, each 2.5" apart - Our new faucet needed only 1 of the holes, so this was the obvious answer for covering up the unused ones. Our sink also has a 1/8" upward indent where the holes are at: This plate fits nicely within the bounds of the indent. It looks great, and has a beautiful finish.

The plate comes with a relatively thick rubber piece that sits underneath it and seems to seal off plate and sort of hold it in place, but that is entirely due to the pressure you put on the screw-on ring between the sink and faucet. Even when tightened, this plate can still pivot slightly: It would be nice if it came with some optional pieces that let one fasten it to the unused sink holes so it couldn't pivot.
