JBr: I adore this book. It has given me insights into the development of the DEH project from its beginnings, to its run at Arena Stage, to its move to Second Stage in NYC, and finally, to its successful run on Broadway. I was lucky to see the touring cast in Boston (Ben Levi Ross was excellent as Evan), and hope to see it again when the world reopens. The format of the book is similar to the one that accompanies Hamilton (I think it is called "Hamilton: the Revolution"), and it is as meticulously edited. The pictures are beautiful, and it is wonderful having the entire book (script) as well as the lyrics to the songs.

Tina: I’m a huge fan of the show and this was SO worth the purchase. Not only does it give information about the journey of the show from start to finish, the cast, and the crew, but it has the full script with beautiful photos and interesting annotations from Benj, Paul, and Steven. I would’ve paid a lot more for this but I’m happy I got it for only $40! Must have for fans of the show!!

LUV 2 READ NJ: As a Broadway aficionado, I've seen many plays/musicals, but this one touched me more than any I had seen before. The first time I saw Dear Evan Hansen, I was bringing a young woman in my family as a surprise gift. I knew she'd be thrilled (and she was), what I did not expect was to be so touched and captivated myself. By the end, I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. This is such a touching story and I think everyone can find something to relate to in it, I found several things. I just had to see it again, so I went once after a particularly difficult time and it was so therapeutic. Then, (because I'm out of my mind), I took 3 special young women in my life to see Ben Platt's final performance. I'm not rich and I spent a small fortune on these tickets, and it was worth it a thousand times over. The memories are forever.
When this book was released, I quickly bought one for myself and the 3 ladies I took to see it. Each of us feel like we are experiencing the play all over again, especially if we couple it with listening to the soundtrack. LA: Never Ever Ever has Broadway presented a play like this that reaches out to a "very specific" audience that turns out to touch everyone in the world! The dialogue on the subject matter is spot on. Excellent writing! The music will reduce you to tears, male or female, young or old. Excellent composers with SUCH HEART and understanding. I am Jennifer Laura Thompson's sister, Laura Thompson Cerrito. It's no coincidence that we have a play on our names! She plays Connor's mom. I may be biased but this play dropped my jaw, broke me to tears and made me wake up to the real world that our children live in. Whether you choose audio or coffee table book (kindle too) You will be overwhelmed with the subject/contents. Thank you Steven Levenson /Justin Paul /Benj Pasek and the entire cast. Do yourself favor: grab a box of tissues, some water and your iPhone and lock yourself in your room with this book for a few hours. The book contains the entire libretto (script) of the show with amazing footnotes by the creative team. Read through and let Siri play you through this beautiful, important, and cathartic piece!
