MT: I love my coffee. I use a drip coffee maker every morning to start the day. But occasionally I like a quick cup in the afternoon, and I have been less than impressed with Keurig when using K Cups at friends' houses. I decided t try an espresso machine. While I have nothing bad to say about this approach, it wasn't for me. Too much mess, prep and cleanup. I returned it, and remembered trying a Nespresso machine in a hotel and loved the convenience, but most of all the coffee it self. I am enjoying this machine, experimenting with the different varieties of pods, the ease of use, the different cup sizes you can choose from, and the lack of any real cleanup. The selections of coffees are great, and they all have a nice froth to finish them off. Note that this takes Vertuo pods which provide more variety than the original Nespresso capsules.

The " Like New" rating was not like new. The box was nearly shredded and barely held together with nearly an entire role of packing tape, terrifying. The package of tester capsules was half used. The machine had water spots on all components and coffee grounds in disposal tank and capsule inputs slot. It was obvious that the only cleaning done was a paper towel over the outside of the machine.
That being said: I washed it; I sanitized it; and it works perfectly.

SewNovice: I'll preface this review by stating that I am an espresso drinker. I have an automatic espresso machine, which I love, and that is the bar I used for my comparison. I will say that the coffee produced by this machine is as good as the coffee from my expensive espresso machine.

I like the option of a quick coffee for some variety. I have had Keurigs for years, and am probably on my 5th rendition. The more I drank espresso, the more dissatisfied I became with the Keurig. I found myself having to use 2 k-cups to get one cup of coffee strong enough for my liking. I then saw the nespresso online, and began to research the machine. Although there are minor complaints about it, the majority of reviews were positive, so I decided to buy one.

I was torn between the older model and the vertuso model. The attraction of the older model is 3rd party coffee pods, which saves money but after watching many a youtube review, it appeared the vertuso produced a better coffee with more crema. I opted for the vertuso plus deluxe. The deluxe model has a larger water tank and chrome accents.

Patrick T.: I bought this as a Christmas present. The machine was only used starting in January and was broken by the first week of February. The machine is leaking a giant puddles of coffee. Tried troubleshooting it with Nespreso and nothing worked. Can't return it through Amazon and Nespreso won't exchange it either.

Dom S: The media could not be loaded.  Nespresso machine makes great coffee. Worked great for a couple of months and the day after I was able to return due to coffee leaking at back of unit when brewing coffee. Amazon amazing customer service accepted my request for a return. So impressed with Amazon. I do however really like the Nespresso VerteoPlus machine. I ordered another however I added the 4 year warranty. Hopefully I don’t have to use the warranty.

UPDATE: After using the new VetroPlus for 10 months now... no issues at all.
