Conscious Pause: It was exactly what I hoped for. A cute and small ice cream. Just perfect for one!

Robert F Harrison: I've been on a keto diet for quite some time and, darn it all, I miss ice cream. Recently, while recovering from surgery, I decided I'd probably be okay with a little treat now and again. But...yeah...I really don't want to be eating sugar, nor do I want to pay a lot of money for ice cream like stuff from the store claiming to be keto.

My little Dash My Pint arrived yesterday and I opened it up, read the directions, and immediately popped the inner container into the freezer overnight. Yes, I know 24 hours is what the directions say, but I could only wait 16 hours. It worked fine.

I made an ice cream mix of 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, two egg yolks, a dash of salt, a squirt of liquid stevia, and a capful of vanilla extract and set the machine off.

Impatient as I am, rather than waiting the full 30 minutes, I checked after 15 minutes and deemed it soft serve enough to eat. It was delicious and just the right amount for me; one cup.

I did notice, as have other folks, that as your mixture freezes at the bottom of the cup it's possible for the lid, where the motor lives, to lift off. This isn't great, so I dropped one star, but if you...

Suzie Creamcheese: The media could not be loaded.  The key to enjoying this item is to have realistic expectations. It’s not going to preform in the same way as a much more expensive machine. That being said, I’ve had a really great experience so far. There is a pretty steep learning curve and my first few attempts were not so successful. Here are some things that I’ve learned that have attributed to my success:
1. It is small. Like two scoops small. Don’t overfill it or you’re going to have a bad time. If you have two kids you might think about buying two of these. (It also needs a full 24 hours of freezer time between uses.)
2. Make sure to have everything ready to go. It will immediately start freezing around the edges once liquid is added.
3. Don’t make the mixture too thick. Liquid consistency is better.
5. Have enough fat in your recipe. Less fat means more ice...

Silk: I have used this several times now with the vanilla soft serve recipe that uses whipping cream, milk, sugar and vanilla and it comes out fabulous! Here's my tips.... I don't bother putting the ingredients in the freezer as suggested. They are already refrigerated (and I keep my fridge quite cold) and I also refrigerate the churn attachment too. I just mix the ingredients together and keep them in the fridge and then I pour in just a bit below the silver lining and then run it for 30 minutes and it's fab! NOW for yogurt... I tried Greek yogurt twice now.... first time with 45 mins in the freezer and second time without and both times it absolutely refused to churn it! My next attempt will be to use a regular variety of yogurt (not Greek) and see how that it works... I really don't understand why the recipe book that came with the unit said it would work with Greek yogurt but it doesn't.

Philocrates: I was expecting a half hour. I started to have ice cream in only 10 minutes. It is noisy but not annoyingly so. Much like the old ice cream makers from the 70s and 80s. I churned to soft serve ice cream texture so I was way under the estimated 30 minutes for ice cream. If you desire a firmer ice cream when you reach that 30 minute point, simply ripen in the freezer for a bit. It was how we firmed it up back in the 60s.

Made a very nice amount for a single person. The mix in the booklet will make 3 servings so you need a storage container for liquids when you mix it up unless you plan on making all three that day. Note the machine will ONLY handle single servings. To get the correct amount and not have lid lifting problems, use the dry measure for a cup [the multiple size cups attached to each other is a dry measure] not the liquid measure [the cup with multiple measures on the side]. Put enough mix in the dry measure that you can walk and NOT spill it. That will prevent the lid from lifting. I haven't tried the other recipes in there yet but I will be doing so.

The recipe in the booklet is for an iced cream not an iced milk [the more...
