Paul Malarik: Do I need high speed Cat 8? No, but I wanted to replace my falling apart CAT 4e cables for my
home entertainment system. The higher the Cat number, in general, the better it is built. The cheaper CAT cables tend to corrode over time, and either the clip or the sheath fails not that I mess with them much.
I did not notice any higher speeds yet with getting a whole bunch of CAT 8's but I wanted to make sure
that it was not a bottleneck. These do transmit at least 300GBPS for my needs to all my devices and connect with a good solid snap to the female connector. Sounds dirty, but vital. I would endorse getting a bunch of these in different lengths to go to custom lengths to different devices. The shortest go to my Apple TV & Amazon Cube, the longer ones go to the UHD OLED TV, the Roku, and the Wifi Router/Modem.

Amazon Customer: I bought this because some video on my fire stick was buffering.so I wired it directly to the modem. It definitely sped up the download and upload speed. But I still had a buffering problem. After a little research, I found out that some third party apps will buffer unless you buy a subscription.

Tony HicksTony Hicks: I should have reviewed this sooner and also returned but life gets busy.
The cable is sturdy and very good quality albeit not the easiest for manouvering round corners and over door frames etc.
The problem I has was that the RJ45 connector that went into my router broke the first time it was removed to put in another router. The little clear plasic holding clip came off as it was replugged leaving the whole10 metre cable useless for anything as obviously it couldn't hold in the router.
I'm not an expert and don't know if better quality connectors could be used but I would expect a highly recommended company would use the best available fittings on their products.
All a bit disappointing

CB: The cable was purchased for use at football grounds for my commentary work. First time use I experienced the plug in stuck in my laptop after using. I was unable to extract, but a colleague was. The problem was diagnosed as the terminal overlapping on connection.
After that I can report the cable works perfectly.
