James: I have an ancient Da Bird pole and had a really old Da Bird. It still fluttered, like the flapping of bird wings. Well my ninja cat eventually destroyed that old bird. It happens, this type of toy is not expected to last forever. So I got refills some time back. Those somewhat fluttered but not like the "original". Eventually the string on my ancient Da Bird pole (single piece) had to be repaired too many times and became too short (cat teeth and claws are sharp lol). I could not find suitable string that would promote the fluttering I wanted (and my ninja cat wanted too of course). So I purchased a new one.
Out of the box, it did not flutter at all. I was sad. My ninja cat still attacked, hunted and tried to abscond with the new one though. I do not know if there is a production issue or if my expectations are too high to resume the fluttering I recall. I enjoy seeing my ninja cats mouth jitter when it flutters by him. We still play for long periods of time with this Da Bird.
I would buy again because I know my cat goes bonkers for them, regardless of the fluttering.
These toys can be dangerous, just like any other toy. Care must be taken will playing with...

LibraryCin: Hard to rate durability or sturdiness when I haven't had it very long yet, but seems pretty good. All three of my cats seem to enjoy this one, but the one who seems most excited by it (to my surprise) is my oldest, my 16-year old!

Jeanine: El pedido llegó a tiempo. Lo recomiendo al MÁXIMO, diversión sin límites. Mis 4 gatas adoran el Da Bird, ideal para ejercitarlas también. Este juguete es la neta del planeta.

Emily HEmily H: Let's face it: Cats can be lovable little balls of far, but they also can be little jerks.
Hear me out.
I have two cats. They're siblings, and they just turned two in March 2016. The girl is pretty chill, but Salem, the boy, has an insane amount of energy. I'd never been able to find a toy that kept him interested day after day for extended periods of time. Consequently, he was bored much of the time and exhibited jerky cat behavior. I saw this as a call for help.
We'd had plenty of other cat wands with various attachments, but I'd only tried a few toys with feathers. Salem had loved them, but they hadn't fared well. In fact, the feathers on one of the toys had fallen out within seconds of our very first play session. Da Bird had great ratings, so I decided to give it a try.
Both cats love it, but Salem dominates play sessions. (We actually have two wands now so that my husband and I each can entertain a cat simultaneously.) I have never seen Salem play like this. He will chase it up and down his cat tree over and over again without even realizing that I'm not really playing with him--I'm giving his little kitty booty a major workout! At the end of our...

Joan: I bought this product because of all the positive reviews on amazon and I have to say it lived up to it! One of the cats just LOVES it. It gets him up flipping around the floor as he chases after the feather bird. I am very happy with the purchase of the single 36" pole because it has held up well to constant play everyday and allows me to store the bird out of reach of pry paws, which is important because as the packaging says "put it away or it will be loved to death". If I don't put it away he proceeds to carry the feather bird around in his mouth and chew it until he removes all the feathers.
A few issues I have with it though:
1) The feathers do come out fairly easily. Within the first few days he had already ripped out the feathers so I was glad I bought the super pack with 3. It is however an easy fix. I just hot glue gunned the feathers back in place in the plastic head and so far they have held. I will just keep repairing it this way until the feathers are completely ruined. Make sure however if you do this to put the feathers back in the same positioning they came in (see image in product description). This positioning is what gives the feather bird the...

Mike: Nothing super special here, but it is a better version of similar toys I have tried. The toys are interchangeable and “fly” well when making circles past your cat. The pole is nice and springy.
