Michael M: The paint markings come off incredibly easily once a little bit of oil gets on there. One swipe of a paper towel to clean it removed the 'on off' marking as if it were written with dry erase marker. Surely they could have tested this and laser etched it instead. For that reason, I give it 4 stars.

Tammie E.Tammie E.: I have a glass top electric stove which is a no use for my canning. Picked about 6 gallons grapes. Used my steam juicer on this electric plate. Had it one for about 5 hrs continuous use. Medium high temp. Did GREAT! Plate burner is big enough for my all American pressure canner too.
Very happy so far with its slim design and ease of use. Sturdy very nice quality.

Beverly: It worked perfectly. Was having our kitchen remodeled, so no stove or oven. Managed to cook 95% of meals for 2 months. Used the suggestion to leave the lid on when boiling water. Not as quick as the cooktop, but defintely OK. The base does get hot, but letting it cool was no problem.

Amazon Customer: I like the size and the speed it get to temp. Dislikes are the fact that where it says on/off on the power dial wore off in less than 2 weeks. Made new label with label maker. The writing on the power level dials has little contrast with the silver finish and is difficult to read. There are power on indicator lights for each burner. Over the course of 6 weeks use they have gotten dim/foggy and it is difficult to see if they are on. Power dials rotate very freely. And with the difficulty of determining if it’s left on, we are in the habit of unplugging after each use. Would not keep if we had small children in the house. All that being said, it functions well and was reasonably priced. If you can deal with my cons it’s not a bad unit.

BB: Heats up moderately fast. Gets moderately hot. I use it mostly right now to heat canned beans or soup so I can say it does that well enough. I keep it in my truck and it comes in handy. Cord could be longer.

N. D. Graham: Our 32 year old oven stopped working then short circuited due to frayed, crumbled insulation on some wires. We ordered a new stove but it was going to take three days to arrive so we ordered this hotplate which arrived the next day to be able to do some simple cooking until the new stove arrived. This lovely little hotplate looks elegant and heated food efficiently albeit less forcefully than the old coil stove top. Then we got the new stove so this hotplate will come in handy to use at the table to keep food warm when we have burritos or fondu.

Tom JTom J: The elements heat up evenly thanks to their cast iron covers.
The elements take some time to get up to temperature, boiling 2 litres of water takes awhile.
Good temperature control at lower setting for Eg. eggs.

Isabelle Faguy: Le seul point négatif : attention, il est en métal donc l'objet au complet devient chaud. Donc, avec des enfants (ou ados...) ou des animaux autour, il faut être vigilant. Mais sinon, c'est un excellent produit! Je l'utilise pour toute ma cuisson. Le rond est en fonte, donc il reste chaud très longtemps. Souvent, on peut terminer la cuisson (du riz, des oeufs, etc) juste avec la chaleur résiduelle, après avoir éteint le rond. Le boîtier en métal fait que c'est plutôt robuste. Beaucoup d'ajustement de la température, bien plus qu'avec une cuisinière de base! Parfait pour les étudiants et les chambreurs. Bien meilleur que les modèles bas de gamme qu'on trouve dans les grands magasins. Je l'apporte souvent à des réunions pour faire le thé et d'autres utilisations "nomades", il se transporte facilement.
------- Après un an d'utilisation, presque exactement, le bouton ON/OFF brisé, un pièce métallique s'est retrouvée "loose" dans le boîtier. Il est inutilisable, il faudrait que j'installe un nouveau bouton. Je prendrai probablement le temps de remplacer le bouton, vu que j'aime vraiment cuisiner avec cet appareil! -------

Jeannine T.: Mon rond de poèle est défectueux et je ne peux le remplacer car trop vieux, c'est une plaque Jen-Air ancien modèle avec une vis pour l'élément et la vis ne s'enlève pas, j'ai donc opté pour cet article en attendant de remplacer la plaque au complet. Ça fonctionne très bien, j'ai fais une grosse sauce à spaghetti et des beignes et tout fut un succès. Seul bémol, l'écriture sur les roulettes de fonctions sont un peu pâles mais c'est minime car c'est vraiment une belle plaque. L'écran d'affichage n'est pas large mais très bien situé.
