Michelle Livingston: I have had this set for a few weeks. I was looking for a set of cookware without teflon yet still nonstick. Wow, is this ever non-stick. I have made scambled egg whites with no oil added, they came right out! I simply wash with a bit of soapy water and a non-scrubby sponge and hand dry. The only area where food sticks is the metal that connects the handles.

I am a trained chef. All of the weight I gained in culinary school is coming off now and this set helps me keep the calories down.

I crisp up quesadillas, sear steaks, make omelets, make crepes - all with no added oil. I simply add a bit of olive oil or butter for flavor. I sauteed mushrooms with a bit of sea salt, fresh basil, and a teaspoon of butter for flavor - my family liked them more than when I added a lot of butter in the past.

These are nice, heavy weight pots and pans. There is no steam hole in the lid but my lids from my steel T-Fal set fit, and I often use a long handled wooden spoon to raise the lid on one side when making stock or broth anyhow - so this does not bother me. The lid handles do get hot - be cautious of that.

I love that the set is oven safe to a nice, high temperature....

A. J. Espinosa: My wife and I absolutely love this Cuisinart set. While it seems everybody has a "nonstick" set these days, these pans are truly nonstick. Some of the things that used to be headaches to clean are so easy with this set, most notably my attempts involving eggs. Eggs are usually one of the more difficult things on pans, because the egg whites thin out and burn onto the surface of the pan. But with this set, even if I don't use enough oil, it's a breeze to scoop the eggs off the pan with a regular spatula, and it's just as easy to clean up afterward. Just as a more dramatic example, I've tried putting a single egg on the pan (with the heat on) and I let the egg white spread out a little. I've noticed that when the egg white starts to cook and become opaque, instead of burning onto the surface of the pan, it actually curls away from the pan. And that was without using pam, oil, or butter.

So I think that gets the nonstick point across. The other great thing is that these pans are really light. That's particularly good for my wife, so she doesn't have to hurt her wrists when carrying these things around full of food. But it's even good for me, especially when I'm tilting one of...

nonspecific: I bought the 10 piece Cuisinart set about a month ago and ever since I've been expecting it to fall to pieces, burst, turn to dust, explode, vanish in thin air, etc. etc... anything that would give me a reason for the low price of 140$ which is 400$ in stores. The truth is, it's too good to be true. But it is! This is the best cookware set I have ever seen by far. Nothing will ever be able to stick to these lovely pots and pans, no matter what you do, so be ready to say goodbye to all the non-stick sprays, oil, butter and soaking and scratching. They don't even need harsh soaps for a moderate cleaning up. It is true that they can burn food, but the instructions say that these are not meant to be used at high stove-top heats anyway, use a low to mid heat and everything will turn up wonderful. They are really good for slow cooking and can also go in the oven up to 500 degrees, which is required for some food I like to make. The glass lids are useful when making rice or seeing the color of vegetables but they can spill if nor handled properly due to the design, which could certainly improve since they are, unlike the pots, not very easy to clean. My handles have never got too hot...
