Faith LeeFaith Lee: The pen is a very pretty coral color, and a good weight, not too light. It is also thick enough to be comfortable to hold. But the ink that comes with it is horrid. Every time I twist it open for use, there is a blob of ink, and it blots on the paper, while skipping and not making any smooth lines. I need to draw a few lines for it to write smoothly. No matter how pretty a pen is if it doesn't write well it is a disappointment. I think I need to change the ink, even if it is new.

Icon RoadsterIcon Roadster: Once I opened the package, I immediately fell in love with the color, quality and weight of this beautiful Cross Ballpoint Pen.

First of all I'm not one to usually spend money on any type of office supplies, the bare basics available at any walgreens, cvs or walmart is usually enough...

However after starting my new job (in a white collar environment) and having to take datailed notes (for hours) every day. I have noticed (and can definitely appreciate) the higher quality of a smoother writing instrument.

It is for this reason that I decided to look up better quality pens than what I have been typically using... And that led me to this cross ballpoint pen... 1st of all I didn't know what exactly I was looking for, all I knew was that I wanted something better than the typical 12 for $5 pens.

Yes it is much more expensive than anyone really needs to spend on a pen, But I decided to treat myself... And I'm glad I did.

To most people the quality of your handwriting doesn't really make a bit of difference... However since I decide to dress my best everyday to distinguish myself, I decided that I might as well get a pen that matches my outlook and...

Había leído buenas reseñas y coincido con ellas: se desliza con suavidad, la tinta, de trazo medio tirando a grueso, sale con fluidez, sin atadcarse, y la tapa se sujeta a la caña sin problemas. Poppy: Well, I may update this with a better rating and review after the "converter" arrives [and, by the way, so-called "converters" are actually far more like the corresponding parts on original fountain pens, than are the disposable cartridges, so I just don't like calling them "converters"].
And if the right areas on this pens nib do "break in" nicely after a couple days, I'll mention that, too.

In the meantime: I really wanted to love this pen, as I'd had my eye on it for maybe a year before I really actually did need yet another fountain pen. So, after providing the 40 bucks for this, I expected it to berather nicer than, say, the somewhat dubious "Picasso" brand pen it was replacing. And, well, as for visual aesthetics, I can say that this pen doesn't have the somewhat hokey "Picasso" "signature" on it (of course!) --or anything like that, which that ($20) pen had emblazoned on it (despite the fact that Picasso never even visited China---but I suppose that's rather off point. <chuckle>

At the same time, though, that *Picasso" (sort of marble-blue) pen feels considerably "sturdier" than this pen, without being overly heavy. This *Cross* pen really doesn't...
