Create Your Own Luxurious Bath Bombs with Coconut Oil and Tea Tree Oil!

MissChrissyMissChrissy: This was a bonding time - DYI kit that my granddaughter and I did yesterday. It was a bit pricy but a fun and good hands on project. We added paprika powder as a colorant and it turned into a pretty peach color. She added 12 drops of lemongrass and a few drops of lavender with a tblsp of lavender seeds, But, you WILL be cleaning your bathtub afterwards. We used coconut oil and my skin feels wonderful!
Unfortunately, one of the oils had already leaked out when we opened the kit. I feel that the packaging could be done better, so maybe employ a little quality control before sending.

dan: I paid way too much for products I could have gotten at the bulk barn for literally a fraction of the cost. There is no colouring to add into the mixture for different colors but it doesn't say that when purchased. There was no oil to bind the product. The instructions were to spray one hundred pumps of this little spray bottle they included but that wasn't nearly enough to try to get or to bond. It only came with one form for the bath bombs which didn't work with the formula, it was failed attempt after frustrating failed attempt. We used coconut oil to attempt to bind the formula but because they were vague on the kind needed or what you could use I feel like each type would offer a different result but after spending as much money as I did I wasn't about to go out and buy a bunch of different oils (that should have come with this item) to be able to experiment on different formulas.

In the end, because we did it all in one go, we ended up with cupcake cups full of bath bomb formula that eventually hardened in the cupcake cup. We also used some silicone forms we had for ice cubes that we also tried and they worked a lot better than the cheap circular "mold" that was...

Torend E.: I got this bath bomb kit for my wife and she really enjoyed it! She and her girlfriend got together one afternoon and decided to make these bath bombs together. They cleared the dining table and got right to work!

The kit was nice because it came with the perfect proportion of all the necessary ingredients and there was even leftover essential oils. Who doesn't love essential oils?!

The only tricky thing about it was understanding the mould process of making the bath bombs. It comes with one stainless steel spherical mould, but it takes about 30 minutes to harden at best. So what do you do??

Because the kit calls you to make all the bath bombs at once, you are inclined to go with the cupcake mould, which is basically to use those little paper cupcake moulds for baking and place the mixture inside. It's really convenient to use a muffin baking sheet in order to keep every thing contained and less of a mess.

The cupcake molds turned out really well and we're convenient for transporting. Plus the looked like little cupcakes!

Erica RobinsonErica Robinson: The media could not be loaded.  I was so excited for this kit. I ordered it to see if I would be interested in making bath bombs frequently. I opened it and started 30 minutes before I needed to leave for work. I had time to get everything mixed, go to the store for food coloring, and start on a few before I needed to leave. The instructions are very clear and the pro-tips were extremely helpful. Presentation of the package was great. The ingredients are pre-measured and yield 12 bath bombs, as advertised. I saved the packages that the powders came in incase I want to gift ingredients. This kit does NOT include your base oil OR colorants. So be sure to purchase them ahead of time (olive oil, coconut oil, food coloring, etc.) The molds to make the spheres were a bit tricky, but only because I believe my mixture was too dry. With a little patience and practice I'm sure it can be achieved. The essential oils come in sample sized vials, if you're not familiar with EO's then please do a bit of research before adding them to your bath bombs. Some of these oils should not be used by people with certain conditions.Take the clear plastic stopper out of the vial, that will make the EO...

francesfrances: I normally don't post reviews, but this Bath Bomb Making Kit was way too fun! We just received this as a Christmas gift and are absolutely delighted with it. My 8 year old sister and I just spent our afternoon making bath bombs together, and my college-aged brother even offered a hand.

We had our sister carry out most of the measuring and the mixing, which was plenty of fun for her since she already enjoys helping out in the kitchen. Most of the ingredients are basically already measured, or come with a little extra, but she still poured them out in the measuring cup/ tablespoon. This was nice for us- the adults- because we don't have to worry about wasting ingredients should a pouring accident occur. It was also nice for my sister because it allowed us to provide her with a little more independence with the preparation than we normally would have given her.

I also really appreciated the fact that this kit comes with a variety of different essential oils. For those of us, like my family, who are rather inexperienced with essential oils, we definitely loved being given the option to decide what to add to our bath bombs- and even more important, to decide what we may...
