Cheryl Walter: We’ve been using this guacamole mix for years - it is truly the best! When our local store ran out we tried several others which were too wet or tasteless. This mix is perfect with the juice of one lemon. The spicy mix has great heat! The mild or spicy have wonderful flavor. So happy we can order online!

Juanita W.: I have used this product for many years. I have a 96-year-old friend who insists on making her own guacamole (she has a huge avocado tree in her backyard...lucky lade!!. Even though I have suggest this product to her, she turned up her nose. Recently she was not feeling well and I helped her with dinner. I told her I would make the guacamole....of course I used my old standby Great Guac, She took one tortilla and scooped up a bit, not knowing my secret ingredient, and her eyes lit up like a Xmas tree. She almost did not leave enough for the guests yet to arrive. I just ordered a dozen pkg for her and myself.

Huck Feen: It is a very good mix to use for making guacamole, and most grocery stores no longer carry it. Adds a nice flavor, and you can make it spicier or not, depending on how much of the powder you add to the gwok. It says to add the whole package with 2 avocados, but I use the entire amount maybe with about 5 or 6 avocados. I am a vegan, and I realize that the mixture does contain some powdered sour cream and milk, but hopefully not much. It would be good if they skipped any dairy in the mix, because you can add real sour cream if you want. In addition to finely chopped ripe avocado, I add some Sour Supreme (which is a fake sour cream made with soy), chunky salsa, ground black pepper, and include some sprinkles of powdered chipotle chile pepper (to make it a little spicier).

Jason Karuza: It's kind of funny, because in my family (when growing up) my parents would always make the guacamole by hand. They'd chop up onions, peppers, tomatoes, and throw in some cilantro, garlic salt, and maybe a dash of lime juice. Then we'd taste it and add seasoning as necessary to get it to actually taste good. In fact, my Dad still does it this way, and most of the time we end up having to add salt to it.
Now, I have no problem with adding lots of ingredients to give some "chunk" and texture to the guac, but it should taste good first and foremost. That is where he just doesn't get it.
My wife and I started using these McCormick seasoning packs years ago. They are no longer available in our local grocery stores (there is some other brand of packet that tastes terrible in replacement), so we go to Amazon to get them in bulk. These packets offer a simple and foolproof mechanism for creating great tasting guacamole. One packet of seasoning for every pair of avocados, and you're done. You can add onions, peppers, cilantro, etc. as you'd like, but your guacamole is guaranteed to taste great with no additional seasonings.
A couple notes: this is not a vegan product...
