I sometimes crave ice cream, but the options available at the market either have *so* much sugar inside, or they're "sugar free" / keto and crazy expensive. I decided I'd like to make my own so I can customize the ingredients and maintain a relatively healthy diet without going broke. This thing is fantastic; wish I had it ages ago.
The ice cream pictured here consisted of only heavy cream, almond milk, vanilla extract, and stevia mix. I used a blender to mix everything together, then for fun added a candy bar right at the end so the chunks just blended in (you could add anything you like, of course!) Pour the mixture in the ice cream machine (messiest part of the process), let it stir for ~20 mins, then transfer to a container in the freezer and let it cool a bit more. You can see the results. I am so happy!!

ET: Before using, make sure tub is frozen for at least 8 hours and ingredients are very chilled. I used it to make frozen cantaloupe sorbet. It was delicious and the texture was perfect. Very easy to use and very good value.

Michelle adams: I don’t like the fact that after churning the mixture it still is just soft. You have to freeze it and if you wait too long in the freezer it becomes rock solid and you cannot scoop it. I was disappointed.

Amazon Customer: Since you have tonpour stuff in when its mixing it would be since if the hole was bigger & easier to in. Maybe if it was bigger & you could close it after you were done adding. Mine turned out more like soft serve & was rock solid when we put the rest in the freezer. Taste was good but think that all depends on what you put in it.

ARBallard: I bought this only because the liner of my old one got punctured and am more than pleasantly surprised. I made my own take of chocolate ice cream and it turned out amazing.....

intanet: I had the unit in the freezer for 24 hours. Solid cold when I took it out (I shook it to see if there was any slosh but, there was none). Followed the instructions to make Ice cream but, after 40 minutes, it was as liquidy as it was when I first put it in. Too bad.

I have been making ice cream like a PRO with this little machine. After several mistakes, here are my best tips:
1. Make sure your batch is thoroughly cold before you attempt to churn it. I usually make my mix one night, pop it in the fridge, and churn it the next day either during lunch or after dinner.
2. DO NOT USE ANY METAL PRODUCTS IN THIS! The directions also state this but I want to reiterate it as well. It WILL scratch up your pot. Wooden spoons and rubber spatulas seem to work fine to scoop out your ice cream.
3. I highly recommend you add any mix-ins right before your batch is done. This ensures your ice cream will have the best texture.
4. If you're making sugar-free ice cream and you don't want it to freeze hard as a rock, your best bet is to use xylitol as a sugar substitute. I was initially using erythritol as a sweetener but it makes the ice cream frozen solid. I tried adding vodka, vegetable glycerine, and MTC oil to prevent it from becoming a rock, but they don't work. Xylitol acts the most like real sugar and it will leave your ice cream with a scoopable texture.
I know it's small, but it makes a decent amount of ice...

Mariea Swearingen: I had it in the freezer for 4 days and took it out added my ingredients and turned it on. It never hardened until I took the whole unit and put it in the freezer for a few hours and then it. Started to actually look like ice cream. I had to hand turned it to make sure it didn't become one Sol it brick every few hours not worth it.
