With Trued this loom, if you are planning o using a pattern for more than 10 lines forget this one ,after threading it the thread starts shifting and won’t stay in place! I have tried several looms and none are perfect. At least this one can’t break in half like the last two and my the other couldn’t get the “tee” tight enough to keep in the loom. Still looking for a substantial beading loom!: Loved it at first, it is light weight and easy to string, but then it broke right in the middle of making a bracelet ! So disappointed. Started looking for another loom, so I ordered another loom with a second jewel loom. The other loom was easy to thread at first but the thread fell apart and on each other because of the screws being too far apart. There were other problems with that loom also. So I tried my 2nd jewel bead it lasted about 3 weeks! So frustrating ,I’m going to try one more of another brand and see how that goes

Christine: Two weeks ago I purchased the metal loom not having done beading before, I thought that one would be fine however, i was not too happy with the amount of thread is wasted on having to move your bracelet to enlarge it.. I should have watched your video before ordering the metal loom.. I now have the "PERFECT" loom for making bracelets etc. No fuss no muss and more importantly, no waste!!

geranhi21: Habe das Teil erst ca. 1 Woche. Erstaunlich rascher Versand, relativ gut verpackt im Polster-Umschlag. Glück gehabt, daß keine schweren Pakete während der Reise drauf gefallen sind. Also alle Teile bis jetzt i.O. Ein Armband ist bereits fertig und wartet jetzt auf seine Verschlüsse an beiden Enden. Bin gespannt darauf, wenn ich es vom Webrahmen nehme. Hoffentlich bleibt er heile. Einige Bewerterinnen vor mir stellten ja leider Bruch oder Risse im Plastikteil fest nach nur kurzer Benutzung. Da ich erst neu damit begonnen habe, kann ich noch nicht viel dazu sagen. Außer: es ist der bisher beste Webrahmen für Perl-Armbänder - im Gegensatz zu den doch recht "klotzigen" Holzwebrahmen. Dieser hier ist leicht, angenehm zu handhaben. Mit dem richtigen Garn (habe passend zu den Perlen von Miyuko auch den Kunststofffaden) und der richtigen Fadenstärke (!) ist so gar kein starker Zug beim Spannen nötig. Habe weder zu stark noch zu locker gespannt. Sobald man die Perlen einwebt, ergibt sich von selbst eine gut passende Spannung. Und viel schneller als sonst geht das Weben damit auch! - Sicherlich ist das Tool nichts für die Ewigkeit. Aber erstmal bin ich begeistert und hoffe, damit...

jj.kayak: I'd give 4.5 if I could; It's easy to use & I had beautiful results with a 11-bead row bracelet from a kit. The only thing that I don't like is that when the rod is in place for using, the loom bows & rocks, making it a bit "snooty" to get the 1st couple of rows on, so I placed a length of tape across the middle to hold it down= easy fix for me!. Once the first 2 rows are on, the beads pop right in between the warps & rocking is more tolerable. The weaving moves right along. I wish there had been more than just the 1 needle, as either a 65-mile drive to the nearest craft store, or wait for an order from online. . . . It does work well & I like it for bracelets. I will use my Indian loom for longer pieces--e.g. belts or dog collars, etc. Do like this size for bracelets & convenience. I give 4.5 stars!

Sneaky Burrito: I have a couple of those craft-store generic beading looms with the black metal frames and the wooden cylinders, but I bought this on a whim after viewing the Look Inside preview of the "Jewel Loom Inspirations" companion book for this item.

So far, I am happy with it. I have finished a couple of bracelets in vastly different styles. I still need to work on my finishing technique, but I keep going back to this instead of abandoning it like so many other craft items I've bought in the past, so that is worth something. My favorite thing is the versatility.

First I used some Greek leather as warp threads and made a Chan Luu style wrap bracelet with some glass and gemstone rounds. I will say, you should probably only try to do single wraps if that is what you are interested in. Because this has a maximum working length of around 10 inches or so. I have 5.25 inch wrists (pretty tiny, I know) and I tried doing a double wrap (figuring my clasp would add length) and it was quite tight fitting at the end. So, lengthwise, this is good for single bracelets. Unlike with other styles of loom, there's not a way to string longer warp threads and move the work. I've also used...
