Doris AraujoDoris Araujo: I’m an avid crafter. I paper craft, crochet, sew and quilt. I’ve been wanting to learn to embroider and since I’m currently making a quilt for my daughter and want to hand embroider the label. So, I went for this starter kit. I already have all the sewing notions that come w this kit (though can always use more). I chose this kit for the beautiful wood look hoops to display my finished pieces and the quantity and color variety of floss - for the price.
I’m returning this item. There were many items missing from the kit that were advertised as included.
The pic shows my issues: I received 9 needles, not 30. (Note, these are #26 cross stitch needles, not sharp for embroidery - that’s in the description). The mini hoops were not complete, there was one hoop and one screw missing. The fabric, which is also for cross stitch, was 12x12, not 12x18, as described. And finally, there were no instructions or carry bag included.
I received all the wood look hoops but need to note, these do not have a screw that allows you to tighten the hoops as you pull the fabric taut. There is a grove in the plastic that fits the white plastic ring. They are useless for actual...

Aiden: Good for beginners to learn, I just watched a quick tutorial and got it. The fabric it comes with is a little hard to trace designs on if you are trying to do thing that aren’t very angular. The variety of yarn it comes with is very nice. The hoops can be a little bit of a struggle to get on, it’s kind of like putting a sheet on when it keeps popping off one end, but you eventually get it. Very much am enjoying

LuLu: This is such great kit for a perfect mother and daughter time. Lately with all the screen time that the kids having (online learning) I was looking for something different. The variety of colors beyond of my expectation and it has plenty of needles!
The only thing I would recommend is to watch some YouTube videos if you are new with embroidery.
