Love the look and easy to access batteries when installing the first time as well as when they may need replacing in the future. Love the remote and how adjustable these are. This is one of the best purchases I’ve made for our home… PERFECT addition! I have to give the seller kudos for how well packed they were!

Linda M: I bought these to go into a lantern for my outside covered entry. They are hard plastic and work perfect for my purpose. I like the timer feature that gives me the option to leave them on longer than 6 hours. I just set the timer for 8 hours and it comes on when it gets dark and is a welcoming glow at my entrance.

And then there's the remote, which, once set, will turn on the candles the same time every day for the length of time you set. So I can go to sleep each night by candlelight, knowing they will turn off in a couple hours. No burning down the house or wasting candle wax or worry about pets and children. I scoffed at having a remote for candles. Not anymore! I'll never go back to open flame again.

scalene: The Birch Bark Flameless Candles look great on our mantle and offer a realistic "burn" when turned on. The three varied-height candles are pleasing together or separated, were easy to figure out as far as removing the AA battery covers on each one, inserting the batteries, and snapping the cover back on, and immediately started flickering when the on button on the bottom of the candle was engaged. The flickering option for the candle is incredibly realistic, causing my husband to start with alarm when he noticed them as he thought the flame was too close to the fall leaves I had arranged on the mantle around the candles. I also appreciate that the body of the candle glows (rather than just the flame bulb) as it provides more warm light. Once out of the package and in use, they actually look very birch tree-like - and the remote control option is awesome! Press the hr time button (such as the 6-hr option) at the start time of the time you want the candle to begin burning every night, and you are set until the batteries run out. The three candles have been running for 24-hrs over a period of 4 days with no loss of battery power. Am about to purchase another set for a 2nd room. It's...

Linda B: I used this product for my outdoor lanterns. Its winter here and so far they are holding up really well. The remote controls work very well - no fooling around with switches on the bottom of the candle.
