John Tuckey: I hate running silicon, I mean I REALLY hate it! Mess everywhere, unsatisfactory results, descending deep into psychosis when it all goes wrong and then rage quitting on the job.

My new house needs mastic replacing everywhere and I am not going to pay for someone to do it. Well, I started looking for tools to aid in the application and believe me, I have used a few in the past that I was not happy with so was not happy looking for another.

This is not cheap (but lets face it, it's not expensive either) but what an amazing tool. Real quality components and I have just tried it out and I am typing this not covered in silicon, not sweating from rage, not questioning all my DIY abilities as always when doing this. I'm actually really happy with the job I've just done and that never happens. Buy this if you value your sanity and want a quality finish.

simon stratford: Dealing with silicone can be quite messy, but I've found that the Cramer Grouting & Silicone Profiling Tool really helps and gives a professional finish.

Lots of different profiles in kit and it’s handy to have in your home toolbox.

It's been a lifesaver for my grouting and silicone work. I genuinely think it's a good product, and it's made my projects much more professional. If you're tired of dealing with silicone mess, I highly recommend giving this tool a try.

Bullet: Caulking is my worse nightmare. I have never been able to make it look decent around the tun and tile. This product works great and the ability to choose different bevels and fillets are a game changer. I have tried different tools in the past that did not have the tile groove "feet" and found them to look awful when finished. This tool glides over seams between tiles and keeps the bead even across the transition. It is amazing how much this affects the appearance. I would highly recommend this product although it is a bit pricey for a few pieces of plastic.

D. Story: After years of applying caulk with the time tested soapy finger technique, I wanted to explore using a tool for a more consistent appearance. The Cramer tool certainly makes a difference. While the manufactures instructions and websites were helpful, you will likely end up watching Videos that have been posted online from DIY'ers and Professionals.

You will end up with plenty of choices for the size of caulk line you want to leave. The "ski's" that come with make a big difference if you are going over tiled shower walls. Like many things in life, if you go slow and focus on what you are doing you will be rewarded with the work that was performed.

Cleanup of the tools with an appropriate cleaner is relatively easy, and once everything is clean the included case is very beneficial.

A. Thompson: Wasn’t sure if it was all hype be happy with results.
DO make sure you use it the right way around. A few YouTubers are not using it the right way and saying it doesn’t work. Well it would and it does if it’s held and used correctly. They say wetsoapy water isn’t needed and it’s true however in a few cases it helps. I have rough stone tiles and it helps on friction as does the black gliders especially floating over grout lines.

I’ll never use anything else. Just find some useful YouTube guides after a few different channels watched I was confident enough. With practice it’s great.

An update to include a tool for not quite 90 degrees would be a plus but worked around it with some angling of the tools. A few more curve radius sizes a 6 and a 15 is all you get here Adding a 8, 12 would be nice. But I understand that the triangle profile is actually the more correct and stronger one to use so maybe they are pushing us to that profile instead.

I did try one in an area and it looked surprisingly neat. So maybe…
