Alicia: Very water resistant. We have a sloppy drinker and it picks up and absorbs water quickly and dries quickly. We have only ever vacuumed it to clean it and it still looks pretty new. Great product and looks higher end. Would definitely recommend.

Actually, his bowls sit in a tray on this mat. The mat keeps the tray in place. It's a purchase I don't regret.

Free bird: This design is very beautiful, not that our dog cares anyways lol. But we do. It's not water resistant in my opinion due to the surface cover but we use it only for a food bowl, so it works and looks great. The bottom has a good grip with the floor

Cynthia: I have 3 cats. They are messy water drinkers & eaters. This mat works perfectly to catch the water and food mess. They are easily wiped down and cleaned. I have had these mats for about 9 months now. They are still in terrific condition. They look much nicer than the usual plastic mats I have used in the past.
