Heather: I was sick of breaking plates so I remembered my mom had these dishes since I was a kid and so many others say the same thing about grandparents etc. so I bought these. Dropped a couple since buying them and never broke. So happy I purchased these!

Klutz Master: Spouse and I decided to donate our worn, but durable, Fiesta Ware for this Corelle set. Recall using these in college (many years ago...) and struck me then as kinda cheap feeling. These triple-layered pieces retain their lightness but the feel and 'sound' of the Corelle has improved significantly. First thing that happened when sliding the set out of the box was that two small plates fell from counter height to a tiled floor--without breaking, of course.
This dish set got around though. Though made in Corning, NY these ended up in England. I was unable to find the set in the US so ordered from there. They were air-freighted to NYC then to our home in NJ. We will be moving this month to an area just outside of (you guessed it) Corning NY.

D. B.: I love that these are lightweight. The salad plate is a bit smaller than I would like, but, it's ok - still useable for an appetizer type plate. Bowls look small, however, they hold more than you think. Overall I'm happy with the quality, weight, style, durability, lead free made in the USA product. And since Correll has been around for decades, I trust this brand.
