lorez1: Cuts great just love that it starts at the push of a button. I'm going to retire my old gas powered Husqvarna rancher 55. Sure nice to use weight is just right and no more problems with stale gas. Be sure to store longtime with the battery at 40-50% so the battery is not stressed. All in all I'm very happy with the 120i 40v.

Brian Brooks: Great saw. Light weight and powerful. Battery lasted a couple of hours which is more than enough for this old guy.

Pamela J. Peerce Landers:
We love this chainsaw!
We have a gas chain saw, but it is a pain to start. Probably because we only used it a couple of times a year. Saw this. The price was right. Looks like it had enough power based on the battery voltage. So we bought it.
Really great. Lighter than a gas chain saw. Has cut easily through 9” logs. A dream to start. Press and hold down the button for a few seconds and you are ready to start cutting. No need for a second battery unless you are going to be cutting for hours. We have used ours all day long and the battery was fine, because most of the time, we were picking up and disposing of the cut branches and logs. Actual time spent cutting is small.
Compare this to a gas saw. You hold it down on the ground with your foot and yank a cord until it finally starts. Take this over than any day.
While the bar is only 14 inches, so it isn’t going to replace gas saws for felling large trees, it is big enough to do what most homeowners need it to do.

First of all, let me make it clear that I'm giving this five stars based on the chainsaw's intended use, which is for occasional, "casual" use by homeowners. I don't mean to imply that a lumberjack should buy this chainsaw. Within its intended user range, however, I can't find anything to complain about, hence the five stars.
In my own case, I bought it mainly to cut down the occasional tree that's ready to fall, or to clear the ones that I miss from my driveway or other inconvenient places. I also have two other tools from Husqvarna that use the same battery, so buying this chainsaw seemed a sensible choice.
The setup took about ten minutes, nine of which were spent glancing at the manual. The tenth minute was spent pouring chain oil into the reservoir and inserting the battery. I then walked into my woods to find a fallen tree to...

Amazon Customer:
I've had this saw about a month and I'm happy with it so far. I live in the mountains of New Mexico among pinon, juniper, and oak. I thin the trees for fire safety and use the wood to heat my house. 75% of what I cut is under 6 inches in diameter, 25% is between 6 and 12 inches diameter, and only occasionally a branch or tree over 12 inches. I'm not cutting continuously because I stop to make decisions about what to cut, and to drag the logs and slash out of the way. In this intermittent, light-duty style of cutting I can work for about three hours on one charge. When I'm doing more continuous cutting, such as bucking a pile of logs into fireplace lengths, the battery lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. It doesn't seem to make a difference whether I use full-speed mode or e-Save mode. This is small diameter bucking. If you were continuously cutting large diameter logs the battery probably wouldn't last as long. Keeping your chain sharp prolongs battery life. Charging a fully depleted battery usually takes me 2 to 2-1/2 hours.
I don't mind that I can only fell for three hours, or buck for 1-1/4 hours, before having to recharge. The saw is...

Honest reviewer: It worked for a few days. Then the battery wouldn’t charge. We missed the return date, but hoping this piece of junk will be fixed by the manufacturer.
Update: WE CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE — AND HUSQVARBA QUICKLY SENT A REPLACEMENT BATTERY. IMPRESSIVE. The saw is ok, but next time we’ll get one with more power.
