I was using a cup before (granted I think it was too small) but it would move around and leak and it was so difficult to get the cup to unfold correctly… honestly such a mess sometimes. But with the disc I’ve had no problems whatsoever. If you’ve ever inserted a tampon without an applicator this is basically the same. Removal is easy - just follow the directions! I picked this disc because of the notch and it’s really helpful. If you’ve been trying to decide on a disc, this is the one.

Ashley: Switching to a menstrual cup has been life changing. I previously tried the Diva brand cup and it didn’t fit me well, I could feel it.
This one fit perfectly for me (32 years old and no children). I sleep all night with it, empty when I wake up and then empty it about 12 hours later. It eliminates of so much waste and you don’t need to worry anymore about what they put in tampons/pads and how it will affect your body.
There is minimal odor during my cycle (only when emptying/cleaning) and I don’t think about my period (unless I have pms symptoms) all day.
You do have to empty it regularly though, dependent on your flow. I did go too long once and it leaked, a lot, but if you think about it, the amount of leakage makes sense. For example, once you fill a glass up with water to the rim, everything else you pour spills over. So dependent on how heavy your cycle is will determine how often you need to empty.
Learning to put it in & take it out is a learning curve, but after my first few times I got the hang of it. The insert shows you a few different ways to insert it and how to empty it.
My only tip/suggestion to new users is if you are emptying it...

Trish: I bought this item because I have never owned a menstrual cup before. It was easy to use, and the packaging had an easy description. My main concern to anyone who is in my position and has never used a cup before, I really recommend looking up safe practices in using one of these. I hate to be TMI... but my first-ever use of it actually gave me a UTI. Now I am not saying this to scare any future buyers, however, I can not stress the importance of being sanitary when using one, and washing your hands before and after, because it can save you!

Sarah LSarah L: This product has legitimately helped make my period bearable. I'll be singing praises of the menstrual disc to anyone who will listen.
I am a Nuvaring user, so I got pretty comfortable with my cervix height and anatomy through that. In the past, I had tried cups, but I have a form of vaginismus and things sitting inside the vagina itself causes discomfort. So tampons have often failed me and been uncomfy. Pads shift and bunch up and cause leaks and cups are a no go. So I figured in my quest for an eco friendly, cost friendly, and leak free solution I would try a disc.
And I'm so glad I did! My first purchase was a Lumma High since my cervix is very high (takes entire middle finger length to get behind public bone) and it is very different from Cora and has it's own strengths and weaknesses. Lumma is very flexible and it's rim is not nearly as thick and firm. It's also slightly larger. So it's more likely to pop free or "auto dump" at least for my personal anatomy. But it's something with patience and learning I deal with. So the Lummas strengths are it is easy to insert and remove, is very comfortable in doing so, and has the possibility for auto dumping and puts minimal...

Lucia: I love this disc! I tried using menstrual cups but they would always get stuck. I use this now and barely feel a thing. I was worried I would be grossed out by the blood, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I’ve never had to worry about a leak and I can leave it in pretty long. Absolutely love this product.
