TANYA BAILEY: Very nice jacket, however the sizing was off. I felt it could of have been a bit more fitted, however taking a smaller size might be a little too close. Not sure how to proceed.

Douglas Rehrer: This jacket was a last minute purchase, after I discovered my navy wool dinner jacket had been used as a buffet by moths, and I was to attend a formal event in less than a week.
Having been trained as a tailor, I normally would avoid this type of online purchase as I want to feel the fabric, check the fit, go over the construction, and so on, but I was in a time crunch. When the jacket arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was much nicer than I had anticipated. And while it's not high-end formal wear, it was more than satisfactory for my needs.
If you are considering purchasing one, I can't stress enough the importance of using their sizing chart and not your American/European size. I normally wear a 40R and was torn between ordering a medium, or a large. After measuring my navy dinner jacket, and reading up on the sizing standards in the Pacific Rim, I opted for the large...and I'm glad I did, as the jacket was a near perfect fit. If you're unsure about sizes, my suggestion would be to measure a jacket which fits you well and get the size closest to those measurements. Keep in mind, of all the measurements, the two most important are your shoulder width...
