Shaun Blain: I knew I was taking a risk with this, but I was swayed by the reviews. I have used and repaired chain saws many times. After spending approximately 3 hours doing everything the manual recommended and a few other tricks and it still will not start. It floods very easily.

If you the time to play with the thing, you may be lucky. I do not have the time. I will spend the money for a Stihl or Husqvarna and be happy not having to deal with the frustration.

It was just a pipe dream.

Allen N.: Reading a lot of bad reviews assuming first time users. For the price, this saw is very powerful but also cheaply made (plastics, linkages, etc). Assembled correctly you’ll have no problem using it. The handle has a plastic guide that holds the throttle linkage in the right place, but is very easy to install incorrectly after taking it apart. Assuming that’s the #1 issue people are running into. I reset and adjusted the carb after purchasing because it wouldn’t run without being slightly choked. Something pretty easy to do but shouldn’t be necessary coming from the factory. Since then I’ve been ripping through everything with this baby. Well worth the money. Most of the complaints I’m reading probably should have bought an expensive name brand and have them professionally serviced.

Amazon Customer: Out of the box came with everything stated in the add! Has Very handy service tool bag that holds all the tools needed to keep it going including an extra spark plug and will even fit the extra 20in chain.

I'm not a professional at all when it comes to using chainsaws but I do use them occasionally on the farm. I lost my echo cs-490 back in 2021 during tornado clean up in Mayfield ky.... (someone tried to take it off my truck bed and busted the handle making it useless) so I've been using an older mcculloch timber bear and it gave out completely. So taking a gamble I decided to buy this 62cc saw with 20in bar and for less than 200$.
Now it's a cheap saw, it appears to be based off an echo "on the look of the plastic body parts" its lightweight compared to my other saws, the air filter is cheap as in this is a weekend warrior tool and I don't expect the engine to last if used every day in a commercial setting but for farm or weekend use I see it lasting and definitely paying for itself.

I'm extremely impressed! I do believe this saw could handle a 36in bar with ease, supper ease to start (unlike the cs-490 echo) and cuts red oak like a hot knife...

Steven: I had numerous screws that came lose. Pull cord broke in approx 2mo (40-50 pulls). Spark plug stripped from aluminum head. Pulled head and drilled out to add a cut down car repair insert as not much wall for proper use of heli-coil insert. Noticed diameter of piston is 45.2mm = 58cc engine. Manual states piston should be 47.5mm for 62cc Hmmm Noticed more parts for 58cc on-line, so may be good that I don't have the larger unit, but thought that was what I was buying - should be $25less. When it does run, it does have good power. Goes through tank of gas in approx 20-30 minutes. After 1.5-2hr's of cutting - I found it best to let it cool down and seems to work better on shorter intervals of use. I haven't missed needing the primer bulb. I bought with intention to get through a big job (50-60hrs of cutting) and throw it out when I'm done - almost half way there and not sure I'm going to make it! yikes Have a back-up ready!

Michael MeadMichael Mead: My US-made saw gave out. The estimated repair bill was $390! Since I needed a chainsaw, i thought I would try this one. (I could buy 3 for the cost of the repair.) It works just fine and has these differences: 1) It has a larger engine than my old one, 2) It has a longer bar (although I am able to use the old bar and chains) 3) It is lighter. 4) It came with a spare chain and sparkplug. 5) The fuel mixture is 25:1 rather than 40:1. 5) They recommend using motor oil for the chain (I really don't know why) 6) The only issue I have is the ON/OFF toggle switch. I had another saw with this type of switch and banged it on something and broke it off. I am careful about it now.

It was a straight-forward assembly. The recoil starter and starting sequence are somewhat different than I am accustomed to, but the saw started with no problem. I did not notice any difference in the vibration or cutting power.

All-in-all this seems to be a good value. I have not cut a lot with it yet but it handled the 12" maple just fine. I would recommend this tool to any casual user, or even a guy like me who burns 4 cords of wood each winter.
