B.J.S.: I loved the velcro belts, it's so convenient when you need the ice therapy but don't have the time to sit or lay down. The larger size is a big plus, you can have the cold relief from your SI joints, upto your shoulders at the same time. The only complaint I have is the cold didn't go deep enough or last as long as I am used to getting. ( My previous ice pack for my back sprung a
leak after several years). If this company would increase the amount of gel in this ice pack it would be perfect.

Nothappyinwv: I was happy with the size of this neck/shoulder gel pack. However, once heated, there is not enough gel inside to provide an even cushion. It gathers in the ends and the center is just hot “vinyl”. If you press the gel to flatten the pack (after heating) in order to have an even amount everywhere, it is very thin. Consequently, it doesn’t stay hot for very long.
Also, the gel doesn’t stay in the wider neck portion.

Using multiple packs is more effective than this product.

Corina Kay: I was recently diagnosed with Shingles and was told to ice down my sore areas on my back. Well all I had was a small icepack so after looking into bigger ones here on Amazon I decided to order this one. It's great because it's big enough to cover my whole back or fold it up and just use it on my upper back. Holds the chill in for quite a while too.

NG: I read all the positive reviews and decided to buy it for my cervical and shoulder pain. I needed to use it as a heating pad.
It came very quick, but when I opened the amazon package, it was obvious that the item was not in its original packaging. The side flaps of box were open and the hot and cold pack was in the box without any other packing (like a plastic bag, in which usually things are packed even in the box). I was about to return and order new but decided to keep it as I was in urgent need of it.
Now, coming to the performance itself. It says to heat in microwavw for 40 secs. It never heats up at the said time, always need to add more heating time AND still the heating is not uniform. The gel in pack never stays in place and so the heat is never equal. The pad stays warm for about 10 mins and then the warmth is barely there. It evem doesnt stay well on the shoulders, keep on slipping as the hel moves down due to gravity and again you dont get heat where you want it.
I wouldnt recommend it.

KB: Bought this for my husband. It is big and holds the cold. We need cold for the back of the neck only. Did not realise that the ends also has gel so his chest or front of neck gets cold too. It does not sit...it slides off so a velcro or something to hold it together would have been really good. Still trying to figure out how to hold it together so it does not slide off his neck.

Laura G.: This freezes quickly and is very comfortable to use. It is also quite versatile- used vertically you can cover your whole spine at once. And horizontally you can wrap neck snd shoulders or lower back, or a knee or ankle. It is soft and comfortable and stays cold enough for the 20 minute icing my doctor recommends. Lies flat in the freezer and takes up very little room. Well made product. Fits up the back of the neck to get the whole area. Would be nice to have some tie in front to hold it in place, could be slightly longer.
