It's Me!: **All I can say that this cooler is beyond amazing!!! I had 10 packs of beef sausage breakfast pattie’s, 2 small yogurts, and a pack of shredded cheese, along with 4 ice packs. I had a 2 1/2 days trip home. Kept the meat frozen wrapped in foil until I left and when I got home it was like it was left in a refrigerator. I was able to eat the meat immediately and freeze the others. Both the cheese and yogurt were still cold. I travelled by train so the weight of it was 27.5 lbs and although it was extremely heavy, I didn’t have any fears of tears or rips so it was very sturdy!! Especially with handling it with the other luggage I had. Best purchase ever!** I am going out of town and have to bring food back. It will be a 24+ hour trip back home. I wrapped frozen (round) hamburger meat in aluminum foil and placed in this cooler (with no ice or ice packs) for 24 1/2 hours. Didn't open it at all. When I checked on it, was soft was still very cool touch. Just enough time to throw in the freezer and not go bad. I was really surprised that it held up so well and did for 24 hours. I did not test how many drinks could actually fit in this bag, but I feel it would do the job I need it to...

Es lógico que no tenga la misma capacidad de refrigeración que una rígida, pero prometer "24 horas" de refrigeración es una exageración.

MSW: This cooler is fantastic! I used it to keep breastmilk frozen on a flight. I recommend buying it in advance and testing it to see how long it will keep your milk frozen in the conditions you’re going to be in (temperature-wise), but I believe it will work for a long or international flight. I bought the “Cooler Schock Reusable Ice Packs”, and I fit two inside plus the rectangular lunch box freezer packs, plus gel flexible packs in the smaller spaces. I filled a gallon ziplock bag with my 1-3 oz. frozen breastmilk bags (those are just the amounts I like to freeze - personal preference) and placed the gallon bag in the cooler. Make sure there is no airspace in your cooler - you can stuff newspaper in any blank spaces, but I didn’t have any blank spaces left. This cooler is really the perfect size for this. I printed the TSA policy and tucked it in the outside pocket just in case I wanted to reference it. I taped a sign “FROZEN BREAST MILK - KEEP CLOSED & ZIPPED” to the top with packing tape and that worked great. I would recommend this to any mom! Also it will be a great size for picnics or beach lunches in the future.

Patty: I travel alone and have never been satisified with the coolers I've purchased in the past. Then I bought this one!

It is not so large that I have more ice than anything else. It's soft sides give me a bit more flexibility when I pack it in the car or put it away for the next trip!

The day I got it, I filled it with room temp water bottles and ice. I put it on my back deck in 96 degree sunny weather. 4 hours later I still had ice, water bottlrs were cold, and a dry deck - no leakage!

Thomas Tinelli: Pros:

1. Very good construction, materials quality and workmanship - especially at this price point.
2. Keeps ice ALL day long.
3. Top access door is genius.
4. Completely leak proof so far.
5. Zipper, storage pocket, handles and shoulder strap work without a hitch.
6. Best value proposition in the business.

Cons:

1. Although storage is very good overall, 30 can capacity may be a stretch (especially if you expect to add ice).

Coleman does it again! I own several of their products and none of them have ever disappointed me. And this cooler is no exception. The original “Outdoor Company” is still the best in the business.

Chris J H: Capacity: not sure how they measure, but 24 cans is probably more accurate, with very little room for ice. I packed 8 pint cans, 5 12oz cans, and 1 32oz, medicine bottle style growler, and still had room for 2 gallon ziplock bags of ice and 4 small ice packs.

(For beer, it won’t fit growlers standing straight up that are taller than 12ish inches)

Keeping stuff cool: kept most ice frozen for at least 8 hours (in varying temps from 75-80ish with previously refrigerated cans/growler.) Was still cool but ice completely melted by 20 hours.

Conclusion: For the cost, it’s great. Keeps things cool (but not necessarily frozen) for at least close to advertised time. Good for day trips. I liked having both shoulder strap and handles on the side. Capacity is less than advertised, assuming you want ice in there, though perfect for a 12 pack, plus a little extra. If you need stuff to stay frozen or near frozen for much longer than a day than you may need to look elsewhere.
