Laura Baconbits 96: This grill looks almost identical to my boyfriend’s older model that he got about 15+ years ago but there is a MAJOR difference in the cooking grate - the new version is a THIN metal versus the older version’s cast iron - which makes a huge difference in how well the food is cooked. He simply switched the new grate for his old one & all is good but if he didn’t have a old grill, this new one would not be up to his standards because of the thin metal cooking grate.

Lyle: The grease or oil container is plastic. Worried if it gets to hot it would cause a fire. Only used once and seemed to work ok!

Brian: I read reviews about the grill warping after use, but I figured that Coleman would have recognized and corrected that problem. No, warped after the very first use on Low. Fortunately we seldom used the grill for direct grilling and placed a cast iron gridle on top to 'flatten it' to even out the heat distribution. It is hotter where the gas flows in than at the end. Again, surely the engineers at Coleman could design the delivery tube to address heat distribution. It did meet my expectations for set up, ease of use, and clean up. I wish Coleman would recognize their design flaw and replace the warped grill. At least then I could grill on it!

Follow up: I did reach out to Coleman related to getting the grate replaced. Coleman replaced my entire grill free of charge, a great customer service response!

djc: I do not know what we did before we got our Coleman camp stove. We have gone to several campsites and RV parks, and they have had no grills available. We usually cook in our RV, but have lately found that we love to set out our Coleman stove to cook most of our meals on. We don't have to worry about weight, because the Coleman stove is light and easy to store. We just put it in the camper, and don't have to worry about it. We pull it out, and it is easy to put together. We buy small bottles of Coleman gas to use with the stove. We also use larger propane tanks when the need arises. I love the two wind blockers on each side of the stove. It helps to keep the flames going, even with the slightest winds. There has been nothing we have been able to cook on our Coleman stove. When we pulled up to a campsite, people came around to find out what we are cooking on. I highly recommend this Coleman stove to anyone that does camping or RVing. You can also use the stove in combination with your grill in the summertime. The heat is easy to regulate, and we have had no problem cooking anything at all. You don't need to go camping, or even leave your backyard, to enjoy this Coleman stove. It is...

NotionNotion: I give this grill 4 stars mainly because of it's superior size while maintaining portability...

Ordered with Amazon Prime and thanks to living in Oregon just 5 hours from the shipping hub I received it the very next day!!

The packaging was good and only assembly required was four screws to mount the bottom legs to the unit. Problem was Coleman forgot the screws! (taking care of that now)

For some reason and it's my fault for not properly reading the description. I was expecting the grill to come with the Insta-Start push button feature which this model version does not have, (but according to the user manual and lid label does exist) so you have to manually lift the grill and light with a match (oh well)

This grill works great!!! Cooked hamburgers the first night to pure perfection, and Rib Eye steaks the next! All came out perfect tho like with any new grill you will have to get use to flame levels and cook times.

The chassis quality and overall size and weight of the unit is similar to a standard Coleman stove. The lid is a little thin and wants to buckle slightly when opening and closing but that's typical and really doesn't hurt...
