Started really rethinking my choice when I looked at the small size and relative weight. Went to a trusted consumer research page and Coleman was the highest rated and most recommended. And you can't beat the price! Although I didn't buy the exact one in the consumer article, this is essentially the newer model. We have put this cooler through its paces for an entire college football tailgate season. It is light enough to put in and out of the car easily and holds plenty of drinks and food. Keeps everything cold. The ice hardly melts so we aren't stuck with a cooler full of water at the end of game day. Wow oh wow why did I wait so long!

Tammy Schinhofen: I was afraid this would be too small for my needs, but it’s larger than anticipated. Use it for family gatherings and it holds plenty. I love that it seals well and keeps ice and products cold. I leave it overnight in Nevada summers and the next day there is still some ice and cold water in it. I love that it has the drain spout too for emptying .

Annie Bowen: Been using this to go camping this fall and so far it's done a great job holding ice!

We freeze gallon water jugs and then just put a single bag of ice in the cooler each day of our camping trip and on day 3 of our trip our gallon jugs will still be half frozen!

I don't know how well insulated it will be on hot summer days but I'm fairly confident that it will hold up nicely!

Handles are comfortable for carrying and it does hold a lot of food/drinks/ice!

JSlater: This cooler is exactly what we needed and wanted for the summer. With three kids in sports and a lot of time spent out in the heat, we needed a cooler that could keep everything cold all day. Bonus - it doubles as a place to sit when kids are hustling off the field and just want to sit and drink something cold. It’s sturdy enough that the grown men were able to sit on, too. It is easy to clean and holds plenty of ice. We are very happy with our purchase.

Fargonaut: I'm trying to convert this cooler into a humidor but have unable to make a significant dent in the plasticy smell the odor comes with. I've tried scrubbing it with soap and water, baking soda and vinegar, letting it air out inside for months, letting it sit outside for days, and letting it rest with a lot of tea inside of it.
No luck. Otherwise, it seems like a nice cooler.

The hinges are a little cheap. The door wants to stay up precariously, but I'm afraid to bend it too far back into position. The handles seem solid and the unit is lightweight and easy to haul despite the large size.

Spike: It's a fine cooler - nice and big. But it is no better at keeping things cold or frozen than any other freezer. It's very light when empty. All in all, I would probably buy one with wheels if I had it to do over.
