P. T. Gargoyl: The Positive:
The blade on this knife is simply amazing. It's so sharp that I didn't even notice slicing off the tip of a finger whilst using it! (entirely my fault for goofing off). You could probably perform surgery with this blade.
The negative:
This knife is dangerous to carry. I used it briefly as my EDC until I noticed a pain in my knife side and discovered that the blade had partially opened while I was bending over. Had I been in a hurry I would have punctured my right side rather deeply.
The blade locks into position just fine (though it's a terrible design) But when closed the blade actually wobbles and as you move the tip catches on clothes (or skin) and pulls the blade open.
I am a bit of a knife enthusiast and Cold Steel is generally a good brand but the hinge on this knife would be extremely dangerous to anyone carrying it as an EDC.

Scott AZ41Scott AZ41: Knife is good size for EDC, blade stays sharp after some touch up sharpening and handle shape offers a secure grip. Not a big fan of the aluminum handle scales that seem a bit thin for an ideal grip. Changed the aluminum scales for wooden scales I made and installed that improve the grip (for me) and are more aesthetically pleasing. Good value for the money.

FAUSTO FRANCO: Gran cuchillo, muy afilado, largo ideal, grosor ideal, delgado y ligero, imperceptible en el bolsillo, un poco dificil de abrir y cerrar pero creo que con el uso se quitara, el agarre de seguro es confiable pero no se siente asi , de hecho se siente resbaloso y no da confianza al no tener texturas y por ser delgado (cosa que me encanto) se debe imprimir fuerza adicional para tener un agarre confiable aunque el diseño del mago para los dedos ayuda mucho tambien, entiendo porque a tantos le gusta este cuchillo, a mi me encanto pero para sumarlo a mi coleccion mas no para usarlo en mi dia a dia y es una lastima porque lo veo y me encanta, tenerlo en la mano enamora, pero la verdad es que para el dia a dia si bien procuro mucho la ligereza y calidad de materiales, tambien procuro un abrir y cerrar facil, seguro y confiable ademas de un agarre que sea y se sienta firme, me encanta la marca cold steel pero mas para coleccion o tareas y entornos especificos, para EDC habra quien le guste pero yo prefiero algunos SOG's y Kershaws, aclaro que es solo mi opinion y perspectica y no pretendo afirmar nada por encima de las opiniones de los demas, solo espero ayudar a que hagan una buena...

FloFlo: Das Messer ist einfach nur klasse, dafuer haette Ich auch nochmal 50€ draufgezahlt. Das Preis-leistungsverhaeltnis ist hier einfach nur unschlagbar. Man bekommt ein Messer mit einem superstahl welcher sehr geschäzt ist unter Messerliebhabern.
Habe es jetzt schon seit August und musste es noch nicht EINMAL nachschleifen! Beeindruckend wenn man bedenkt das dies mein Arbeitsmesser ist welches am tag mehrfach Kartons, Kabelbinder, Panzertape und viels mehr schneiden muss. Ich habe es lediglich alle zweiwochen mal über den strop mit einer 12000 grit paste gezogen (mir ist auch aufgefallen das dieser Stahl mit einer polierten klinge besser schneidet als mit einer groben)
Bemerkenswert ist auch der Aluminiumgriff diese sogenannte Aluminium Legierung 6061 ist extrem widerstandsfähig zu sein ist mir schon öfters auf harten boden (Fliesen, Kopfsteinpflaster und die Strasse gefallen mit nur einem kratzer welcher auch extrem minimal ist wie man auf den vorletzten bild sieht)
Das Messer ist auch §42a freundlich, man muss nur den Daumenpin abschrauben und den pivot ein wenig anziehen damit man es mit einer hand nicht mehr oeffen kann.
Wer bereit ist die 180€...

Ticktocker: Initial impressions having had this for only a few hours.......... This is a very pocketable and sharp knife. It seems easy to carry all day. It's rather large knife for EDC but the fact that it disappears in my pocket makes up for the overall length. It came super sharp, perfectly centered and the tri-ad lock is not stiff or difficult to use. Like most Cold Steel knives, the pocket clip was incredibly stiff and difficult to use. I removed it and slightly bent it with two pliers so it would slide in and out of my pocket much easier. No problem.
The aluminum scales (which I see as brownish/tan instead of the claimed "grey") are slippery, especially when wet, and I will probably put grip tape on them but this isn't a show piece. I'm not concerned what it looks like. It's for using day in and day out.
The one thing that bothers me is that upon first usage, it's not very easy to deploy. I have thin knives from Spyderco and the Spyderco hole makes them super easy to deploy but this is a relatively very thin knife with a thumb stud and I find it difficult to hold onto it instinctively when it comes out of my pocket. It feels fantastic once I position it correctly but the thinness...

OldArcher: OMG, this "knife" is a BEAST!!! Love at first sight! It pushes the boundaries of EDC, in weight, heft, size, and shear awesomeness! I'll be 68 in a few months, and I've never seen anything like it! Talk about sharp! Everything about this knife shouts quality! Exclamation marks are the norm, when describing this incredible blade. The G10 scales are nothing less than amazing- you have to almost force yourself to let go. Weight is balanced in two ways that I've, so far discovered. Forward, for precise movements, while aft (the back end), is for slashing, like with a short sword. You never get the feeling that this is "too much" for a knife. True, not for snowflakes or those of the limp wrist crowd. These knives are designed, initially intended for, self defense, or "pest" removal. Not butter knives, but I suspect that they'd do that extremely well, too... I've had lots of Cold Steel knives, up to, and including, their superb Kukri's, and Magnum Tanto XII's in San Mai... Well, being a geezer, I'll be giving those away to family, now... Oh, forgot to mention... Have just ordered the twin brother to this, the Cold Steel G-10 XL Folder, FDE... Why?
