Jan E.: The product worked well, suctions were very secure. However, I returned it as it did not work for my situation, involving (1) Tall SUV with roof rack, (2) 13-ft recreational kayak with sharper keel, and (3) old lady trying to load 50 lb kayak by herself. It was difficult to keep the kayak in the center of the foam roller, wasn’t able to view the roller while pushing the boat forward. DO be sure the two suction cups are level on the back window, that seemed to help. May work better for shorter sit-on-top boats with flatter bottom.

Dogbreath: The product adhered to the rear window nicely. It will keep my kayak from sliding against the rear windshield wiper.

One of the screws had stripped threading and could not be used. I had to use the spare. I went and purchased a replacement screw & nylon nut.

Amazon Customer: I'm 5'4, a smaller person, and I have an 18' fiberglass seat kayak (50lbs?). I was able to load and unload my kayak by myself on the first try, without much struggle (onto a car). I have the angled J racks, which adds a little twist to the whole thing, but still very manageable. The roller moved smoothly, stayed solidly attached, and cleared the rear spoiler on my car easily.
I've just done the one trial load and unload so far, but based on that I'm really pleased!

Diego EscalanteDiego Escalante: I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about this roller being able to handle my Pro Angler 12. I was worried my window would be damaged or that it would fail while loading the kayak and damage my car. I was wrong...

It does handle the weight very well and helps a lot in loading the kayak. You do have to be very careful to fully clean the window before placing the suction cups. The manufacturer emphasizes this.

Some people have complained that the suction cups "wobble" too much. I think, as the manufacturer claims, that this "wobble" helps in making sure they are completely flat against the window.

My final advice would be: if you are thinking about it... go for it. If it can handle a Pro Angler it can handle any other kayak... well maybe not a tandem but that is a whole different story =)

L. E. MalkaL. E. Malka: Works very well. But you need to determine a few things. First, when you lean the kayak against it, what will prevent the kayak from rolling back? And what will protect the rudder from bending or rubbing against the road? Secondly, how will you cart attach or detach while you load? Thirdly, will the roller apply pressure to the transducer at the bottom of the kayak? And finally, is it safe to transport your kayak facing up?
For me, with the Hobie Outback Mirage 2020, this was pretty easy. Plug the cart, plug the load assist (included with the Hobie), position the kayak, and lift the front to the roller. Then lift the back; the cart automatically detaches. Now push the kayak into position. Thankfully the antenna doesn’t snag while doing so, and the kayak makes contact with the cross bars. To offload, repeat in reverse.

Edit: I’ve been using this device every trip, to load and unload. Had at least 20 trips. And also tried it with another Hobie kayak (Revo 16). Again, works great and is light weight. However, I had two accidents: on one occasion it was dark and I didn’t see that the kayak was slightly off center. It slid to the side, dented the car...
