Mackie: Very good information on dinosaurs, origin, description, qualities, location, name, etc. Quite detailed. More suitable for 5 years old +. I'll give the book to my grandson for Christmas. Maybe his 5 years old birthday in January.

Kolby: My two year old got this encyclopedia for Christmas and he has absolutely loved it! I wondered if he was too young for it but he loves it so much, he still reads it every day and it’s been five months since Christmas. He has memorized most of the names and we love all the cool facts about the dinos as well as the pictures. It’s an excellent book for all your dinosaur lovers.

Alexis: I was initially worried purchasing this book that because it's a Children's Encyclopedia that it would be very basic and not contain too many species, I am very happy to have been proven wrong!
This book contains stunning illustrations and a number of dinosaurs that I had never heard of before rather than simply the basic T-rex, Triceratops etc. The information given on each dinosaur was well done and appropriate for older and younger children with many interesting facts. Overall, this book is a very good addition to out dinosaur collection

Sb: Such a great dinosaur book, it introduced few new dinosaurs that my four year old didn’t know from his other book didn’t have. He is an absolute dinosaur fanatic and this has been a hit. There a few prehistoric marine animals in here as well. I like that it has the correct pronunciation to help with how to say the dinosaur names. One thing my son doesn’t like is the pictures and descriptions of the dinosaurs are a lot different than any other books. But, that isn’t a reason to shy away from the book they are still great!

J: so many new dinosaurs to look at and read about, my son is 4 and i (obviously) read it to him, but he enjoys the facts, some of them are a little long-winded (listing out the locations of particular dinosaur dig sites), so I paraphrase, but what's not to love about a book that actually teaches you how to say a dinosaur's name correctly? it can be a little frustrating that some of the facts mention dinosaurs that are not in this book. and it doesn't actually have EVERY dinosaur in it, but it has enough to be interesting to dinosaur enthusiasts. I learned about Osteoderms and gastroliths. so there you have it.
