Jeff: Great knife so far! I’ve used it every day for a two months or so now on boxes, tape, plastic, and whatever else I needed to cut during my day. The colors pop nicely and the fit and finish is really good. Decently sharp out of the box but could definitely use a tune up. The steel seems to hold an edge just like any other decent quality steel knife I’ve had. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is the detent is a bit strong and you have to apply a fair bit of pressure on the tang before the blade flicks out of the closed position. This could be a pro for some but for me, the pressure is a little too much and borders on uncomfortable. After a while, either my fingers became used to the pressure or the knife broke in a little or maybe both but I feel like my last one was a little easier to flick out.

Talesin: Absolutely gorgeous design, the lines flow beautifully open or closed. It feels GOOD in the hand (and I have larger ones) without the risk of twisting. Also feels good in the pocket, barely notice it's there, and the deep-carry clip keeps it ready without screaming 'has a knife' at a glance. The close-detent is SOLID, no worries about a pocket-open.

The down sides.
The detent is a little TOO solid for how short the flipper stud is; it might wear in with time, but it requires *excessive* force now and then, and can be outright painful to operate.
The 'ceramic bearing' gets stuck halfway open, even with how hot the flip is thanks to that detent... usually requires a wrist-flick to make sure it gets all the way to fully open and locked.
The blade came half-sharp. The first inch or two (along the curve) came shaving-sharp... but the next two up to the heel are dull enough they can't even cut paper or paracord.
Finally, a matter of taste. I can see the red anodized insert/lanyard loop being appealing. I'd personally rather have the option to keep it fully blacked out though, to avoid drawing the eye while it's in my pocket.
