poo-chi-catzz: Once again the humor makes this caper fun. Why the one lady doesn't like raisins in her cake. How the prayer pillow turned out. All the hilarious stuff in between, made this mystery a very fun read!

D.: Mildly entertaining - almost too silly at times. If you like The Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy, you will enjoy this read.

Raine rooke: A delicious escape to simpler times . A relaxing bedtime read, filled with whimsy and cake eating comical characters. Give it a read.

Lexa L.: - not much mystery. Wonder whether ‘cozy’ fans like to see their protagonists hire a bunch of career criminals to carry out a heist?! I would have thought that might be more offensive than the odd swear word…

MNTV: The murder of a church bell ringer poses one problem/ then there’s the theft of a very valuable porcelain figurine. Most importantly is the theft of a family jam recipe. How do they tie in together? And will the detective agency do it again?!!!

Amazon Customer: These cosy mysteries keep getting better and better. Great interaction between the sleuth, Mrs. Churchill and her assistant Pemberly. The little dog, Oswald, also makes for increased humor. Cannot wait to read the next installment in this humouous, cosy mystery series.

Maritza Ramos: I just want more and more of these charming and funny lady detectives. Oswald, the detective dog, must have got a promotion because now he was more active than ever. I missed the incident board, a very important element in the stories... I do not only love the great covers (which was what first brought me into reading the first book some time ago). This is pure joy.

John A.: This is another delightful and funny addition to the Churchill and Pemberley "mature lady detectives" series. Each new book outdoes the previous one and I really enjoyed this one.
The addition of bits of British "Change Ringing" on tower bells is accurate and fun. The incident in the jam factory is over the top and hilarious and all the town's characters are as quirky as their names
I look forward to their next amusing, lighthearted adventure! Highly Recommend!!
