FG: It is difficult to say why I picked up this book, yet I was kept me riveted throughout. I am comforted by having read it, affirmed in my faith, and less afraid.

KDNY: Remarkable accounts by an empathetic physician of his patients’ experiences as they face their final weeks and days. It is inspiring and gave me comfort as I am now a senior citizen and my thoughts often turn to those concerns. It is beautifully written.

L. Vandeveer: This is an extraordinary book. This is NOT a book about NDEs (near-death experiences), but about the dreams, visions, reunions, forgiveness and insight that occurs at death's door, in the days and hours BEFORE death.
FINALLY, someone has taken this subject seriously and written about it clinically, in a scientific way. I am a believer in God, but that is a subjective experience for us. Dr. Kerr has taken an objective view, with compassion and understanding, instead of dismissal and attribution to hallucinations, delirium, or whatever other terms were used to disregard these very REAL and important experiences.
This is a book everyone should read who realizes death is coming... which means ALL of us.

Silesia: The one expectation I have of a book on a medical topic is that it is evidence-based. This is the kind of medicine Dr. Kerr practices. I read his truly eye-opening book with that assurance in mind.

Wendy: I watched Dr Kerr's Ted talk on you tube, and looked him up to see if he had written any works on the subject, as he doesn't mention the book in his talk at all, which led me to the purchase of this book. This book is uplifting and comforting and written from a place of total compassion and respect for one's fellow humans. Dr Kerr's book helps greatly in understanding the end of life processes which take place, and details his own experiences as a doctor present at the time as well as the words and thoughts of his patients .
A beautiful book.
